Rodeo Queen is born from Ben and Gilles’ ideas, both music fanatics. Their interests are varied and they enjoy a great deal of genres including Alternative, Pop, Rock and Indie music. They share favourite bands : Interpol, Sleater Keanny, …
Their style is akin to Trail of the Dead, Girls in Hawaii, Two Gallants, and other rock bands.
Rodeo Queen started with six members, but Ben and Gilles’, the band’s creators, gradually decided to expel their accompanying musicians. Selfishness was the main reason, according to Gilles : « they forgot that they were playing in a band ».
Ben and Gilles found a helpful and talented guitarist and bassist called Nicolas.
Today’s Rodeo Queen is composed of Gilles (drums/back vocals/guitar), Ben (vocals/guitar/drums) and Nicolas (bass/guitar).
Rodeo Queen members often switch from their traditionnal instrument to vary their musical style.
The summer of 2006 saw a rebirth of Rodeo Queen, with a great number of concerts being organised all over the Walloon Brabant and in Brussels and more than 12 original songs being written.
They often appear in concert with other bands such as Paperweight, Kung Fu 77, Cheap, Anthropos, Silent Saturn and others.
