    Long recognised as one of Australia’s leading musicians and songwriters, Rod McCormack is also one of the most in-demand record producers, having produced many Gold Guitar-winning acts, including for Album, and Male and Female Vocalist of the Year. Rod has his own recording studio – The Music Cellar on the NSW Central Coast. As a songwriter, Rod has written dozens of hits, along with the theme songs and background music for a number of successful TV shows, and won numerous songwriting awards. He has over 400 titles currently recorded and released by many artists both here and overseas including – Lee Kernaghan, Paul Kelly, Gina Jeffreys, Adam Harvey and Beccy Cole. As a musician Rod has gained the reputation as one of Australia’s finest, appearing on hundreds of recordings ranging from Paul Kelly to KD Lang to Kasey Chambers to Lee Kernaghan to Shannon Noll etc. He has toured and played with many leading US artists such as Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash, Sherrie Austin, Jamie O’Neal and Kris Kristofferson and was musical director for Trisha Yearwood, LeeAnn Rimes, Pam Tillis, Stacey Dean Campbell and Jo Dee Messina on their Australian tours. Rod plays many instruments – guitar/banjo/mandolin/lap steel/piano/hammond etc. In 1985, Rod toured the American Bluegrass music circuit winning the Colorado Guitar and Banjo Championship, the Rocky Mountain guitar championship, the Tennessee Guitar and Banjo championship and the West Virginia Banjo Championship and still occasionally plays with renowned US based bluegrass band The Greencards who are now popular all over the world. Rod has travelled regularly to Nashville over the past 10 years to co-write with many leading songwriters for his recording projects. Rod is married to country music star Gina Jeffreys and In 2000 he worked closely with Garth Fundis on the recording of her album 'Angel'. As a producer, Rod is in huge demand and has been responsible for many successful records. Rod was named the CMAA Producer of the year in 2004 and was most recently awarded the Inaugural CMAA Musician of the Year Award – an award that not only recognizes outstanding musicianship and contribution to the Australian Music Industry but also commended Rod’s tireless time and efforts in developing new and upcoming talent.
