The other profile is an imposter.
If you look at the imposter's profile you will see that it is wrong. I am 50 years old (not 42) and I live in New York, not California (although we do have a yoga studio there). Notice also the words "unofficial site" in the profile tag line and that the "blurb" is written in third person. This is probably some sort of attempt to avoid legal issues.
Please take away this imposter's motivation by removing him as a friend. If this person ever emails you, please mark it as spam. We are working with MySpace to get the profile removed. In the meantime I will happily accept a friend request from you. Thank you for your assistance.

ABOUT ME
I've been curious about the mind and body for as long as I can remember. When I took my first yoga class in 1980, I was a dancer with the Oakland Ballet and student at University of California studying physical therapy and philosophy. I knew from that first class that yoga would be a lifelong passion.
Now that I'm in my 50s, I find myself delving even deeper into the spiritual side of my yoga practice. Life is abundant and chaotic and that keeps me returning to my practice of asana, pranayama and meditation.
I've written two books and have over 25 yoga videos through Gaiam. I teach workshops and retreats worldwide and lead teacher training intensives nationally.

Joy Askew, singer and musician has performed concert tours all over the world with such luminary artists as Peter Gabriel, Joe Jackson, Laurie Anderson, David Byrne, Rodney Crowell & more.
Faced with the challenge of so much diversity, Joy studied voice throughout these years developing a technique that rose to all the challenges of performing on stages from Madison Square Garden to NYC's The Living Room. She has been teaching voice in NYC for 15 years and has released 6 solo CD's.
Singers of all levels of ability are welcomed to join. Limited space available.
