RODNEY HOLMES is one of today's most unique and mesmerizing drummers. His talents as a composer and producer are showcased on this highly anticipated solo debut. Rodney has worked and recorded with some of the most respected musicians in both rock, and jazz worlds. Carlos Santana, Rob Thomas, Michael Brecker, Randy Brecker, Wayne Shorter, Joe Zawinul are just a few examples. Rodney is currently leading his new band LITHIUM TREE. Rodney is also working with several different projects besides his own group. He is currently playing and writing for Jim Weider's Project Percolator. Rodney is also a member of "ETHEREAL DISTORTION". The Band formally known as "The Hermanators".
TWELVE MONTHS OF OCTOBER is electronic based music with a different kind of vision. Rodney manages to pull together many different elements to create a uniquely exciting, yet thought provoking hybrid of dance and progressive music. Blending live performances with elements of breakbeat, techno and progressive rock. Even though this CD is difficult to categorize, the intensity of the playing, melodic compositions, and the almost cinematic images are undeniably powerful.
