Who is Team Rodney? Team Rodney is Gidget, "Kona"Cindy, Fiendy the VK7, long time friends of Rodney's.
Gidget started this page, and as the fan base grew, Cindy came on board. Miss VK7 contributed her fabulous and incredibly unique pop-art to bring it all together!
So if you have a band you would like to pitch to Rodney, please be aware that we need to mail all his mail to him in LA and Gidget is far, far away in Seattle, so you should just mail it to Rodney care of KROQ. What a good heart and good hear, Rodney you hear tomorrow before it arrives. There is no higher calling than to help someone get a bit of food on their plates, a bit of music to listen to. Allen Klein "secured" the distribution rights to this flick, the original Midnight Movie, as the self-proclaimed "proprietor" of Apple Films after John & Yoko discovered it. Entirely due to a petty dispute with filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky, he pulled it from circulation (along with its follow-up The Holy Mountain and Tusk) where it remained for over 35 years, despite an incredible demand from cult movie buffs. With the advent of the internet, it had become a mainstay with the "grey market" video and DVD-R dealers (mostly using prints leaked by Jodorowsky himself), and now can be had in a semi-legit release from Italy. Imagine how many million$$$ Klein could have made from $75 VHS & BETA sales back in the '80s, but then again, it's claimed Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait on a perceived insult, and one of the proprietors of this page isn't too happy with me, either....
Richard Marsh otherwise known to the rocknroll world as SKY SUNLIGHT SAXON will find tribute & love visualized at a memorial in his honor to be held Sunday, July 5th, 2009 at the Scoot Inn in East Austin, Texas. The service gathering will begin at 6pm sharp, with a personal invitation by Sky's surviving wife Sabrina Saxon for guests with dogs to bring their pets to the service. Beyond being a tireless creator of music, Sky was a sincere lover of animals, most especially dogs. In honor of his love for dogs, guests are free to bring their pets, on leashes only please.
SKY SUNLIGHT SAXON of the psychedelic garage rock legends THE SEEDS passed away at 9:10am Thursday, June 25th, 2009 at St David's South Austin Hospital in Austin, Texas. Sky died of heart & kidney failure, due to an undiagnosed infection of his internal organs. He passed peacefully with his wife Sabrina Smith Saxon & his spiritual brother in YaHoWha Joshua Aquarian by his side. He died, in his words, at the age of "eternal".
