Music
The first music that ever moved my spirit was from Earth Wind and Fire
Next was Herbie Hancock
Then was Miles Davis
Then was Weather Report
Then was all types of Jazz
Now it's anything with a good beat or orchestration that's well put together and moves me.
My Imagery and its moods come from what I am listening to at that moment
When painting I listen to a lot of:
World Beat, Dance, Techno, House, Fusion, 70's, DJ Mixes for energy
Ballads for deeply emotional pieces
Jazz for deep concepts
Ballads for sensitivity
Rap for intensity
Semi classical or classical for detailed paintings.
Ambient music is what I listen to while writing my poems or books.
I LOVE movie soundtracks

My interesting life began with being born self aware with a caul/veil on Halloween (the truce between positive and negative forces).
My father was a professional boxer.
My mother was part Choctaw.
Mom liked to sample churches so I was baptised 3 times in different churches.
Little did I know that would assign 3 guardian angels to my case. But they do come in handy when I need advice or help.
I guess that set me up for the energetic life I was to have later.
Since birth I've stared into the sun to see who was stronger on a given day. In Yoga its called tratakam.
I could read newspapers before I was 2 yrs old so mom put me in kindergarten at 3 after I asked her "how does electricity work"?
That still didnt answer my question so I found out myself by sticking a bobbypin in a wall socket just after a bath so I could get some energy for myself from there like the lamps did.
Yes I was electrocuted but survived without a scratch even though I can still see that giant ball of multicolored sparks.
That gave me an affinity for electricity and powerful energies.
The public library became my best friend at an early age.
whatever I couldn't find at the library I learned whie meditating while being in contact with water. In yoga that's the Water Samyama Samadhi.
I read all of the books there then read the Dictionary for an added buzz.
I did yoga postures by habit from birth so I guess I'm an old soul with habits.
The veil gives perceptual skills like clairvoyance, intuition, sensing when people are in trouble, healing skills (by presence and touch), visions of the future, etc which comes in handy when creating art to inspire folks with.
I was hit by lightning twice when I was 17 while being near the wrong tree twice during storms.
Because of this I was named Hashuk Mali which is choctaw for "Lightning has come to dwell with us".
I finished puberty at 24 because I age super slowly. Nothing like the fun of Lording over Time wrinkle free.
I joined the local chapter of Mensa for a while but left after I realised how racist they were.
I grew up in a town so small there were no major art activities.
There wasn't much else to do but think.
I taught myself everything from scratch with library books in a few weeks after a dare after winning a chess marathon.
Many times the only way for me to see a good art show was to create one.
I come from a noncreative family so my main support was sheer force of will to keep myself producing without much creative feedback for years.
After leaving high school, studying art and journalism on scholarship at MSU.
When they screwed up my financial aid I went to a local design school and became the #1 student there after I made a stable model of a geodesic dome for an open house. Then I taught there for 5 yrs.
I left to work at various engineering companies that subcontracted for the govt then left after I realised that the military vehicles and weapons we were illustrating were mainly being used against brown people.
I ended up back at MSU while doing some research.
I ended up working there for 12 yrs with a good safe job with benefits etc for my daughter and taking a hiatus from full time art.
I worked all day and painted all night and showed my work on the weekends at whatever shows I could find or help create.
Finally I came to my creative senses and left in 2005 to paint full time from home, raise my newborn son (a prince named RAMSES SHADDAI LEON hoping he turns out as well as my gorgeous daughter Yvette did) and sell my work online and seek out more exposure.
His mother had post partum depression and thought she drowned him so I ended up with custody.
Then she set my house on fire in Dec 07 because I had custody.
(Talk about ISSUES !!!!!)
Being a single dad and working for yourself is much harder than 12 hr shifts at a machine shop but every moment with him is a blessing.
I've done a lot creatively but its nothing compared to my plans and potential as you'll see from my pics.
MY MISSION IS TO INSPIRE PEOPLE AND CREATE BEAUTY WHEREVER I GO.
I LOVE MAKING WOMEN LOOK INCREDIBLE IN A PAINTING AND WATCHING THEIR SELF ESTEEM GO THRU THE ROOF.
WHEN WOMEN ARE HAPPY THE WORLD IS HAPPY !!!!!!
I LOVE MAKING BROTHERS LOOK LIKE THE KINGS THAT THEY ARE OR COULD BE WITH THE RIGHT INFLUENCE.
THE HOT NEW TOPOGRAPHIC AND SOLARISED STYLES ARE 2 EXCLUSIVE STYLES I CREATED LAST SUMMER THAT YOU WON'T SEE ANYWHERE ELSE.
The Topographic Impressionisms are unique in that you back away from them to see more detail. Look at them in a mirror and you'll see the effect.
They are made from 15-60 layers of color so they look very abstract up close and photographic from a distance.
My website has more of them posted.
I have many more that I'll post online after I find a silkscreener who can do them justice for art prints.
I have digital skills too but there's nothing like taking a huge blank physical canvas and creating a new masterpiece of reality on it.
This is a tiny sample of my work shown.
My master notebook has over 45,000 ideas to do.
I Create Masterpieces As A Way of Life.
I Love To Paint Portraits, Create Awesome Beauty that stops people in their tracks and forces them to stare at it smiling....
I LOVE creating fantastic things you've never seen before in your life.
I love making people look better than they ever have in their lives.
My smile comes from the inside which is where all the good stuff is.
I was born with a veil on Halloween so I LUV to have fun with all kinds of people...its a scorpio thang.
My life is a series of over the top unexpected adventures.
I am a HAPPY, honest, gifted, loyal, very healthy, disease free, drug free, romantic, brilliant/naive, musical composition, lover of ALL forms of the arts, sciences, personal growth, globally aware, WRITER, humorous, passionately without mercy, very down to earth and easy to get along with.
I love talking about anything fun or positive, money making, counseling, religion, health improvement by dietary changes, metaphysics, comparative spirituality, art business , computer help stuff, creativity, projects for making this a better world, empowering others, life in general.
I also like to make plain people look fantastic in my portraits.
Good looking people end up looking like gods and goddesses.
For portraits I take photos of pretty much any quality or type and work my magic on them making them end up incredible.
I'm not done until my clients are super satisfied- whether it be for family portraits , that first office executive portrait, exotic fantasy illustrated
