Welcome to the Rod Richmond Myspace. I am a singer/songwriter. I started playing guitar and singing when I was five. Still love country music. Writing and performing now.

Up until recently my military career took up so much of my time I was not able to aggressively pursue music. I retired from the National Guard and this gives me quite a bit more time to sing, play, write and become immersed in music. My time in the military did give lots of inspiration for music. I have met a lot of great peolpe. Been a lot of great places. Done a lot of great things. I have seen some of the best and some of the worst in mankind, perhaps most graphically in the time I spent at the World Trade Center after it collapsed.
I am still very active in service to my community. I am a family practice P.A. (my day job). I volunteer with my local fire department. I am a paramedic at the nearby volunteer ambulance service. I am the coordinator for the regional chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association International near where I live.
My band is called Whitetail. Watch for the schedule here. Pat Town and Tim Martuzas on guitar, Howard Keech on bass, Jim Pike on drums.
Whitetail is a band that has grown in many ways since we started less than two years ago. We have had some great musicians associate with us in that time. These have included the likes of Cortland Bridge (guitar), Tom Collins (bass), Blair Priest (guitar), and Chris Johnson (drums), Chris Cattelane (drums), Robert Pugh (guitar).
I travel to Nashville regularly to pursue music interests. I have a few of my original songs here. Check them out. I hope you enjoy them. I have a "sneak peak" CD out, and will have a full CD called "Star In The Window" out soon. My wife of twenty years has been very instrumental in helping me get moving in the music business. Without her, I would never have gotten this far.
Thank you for checking in and God Bless.
Thanks,
Rod
