Rodrigo Oliveira initiated his musical career in September of 1994, along with two college friends; they started the band Carrascos, recording three demo-tapes and participations with some independent bands, playing in several cities in the state of São Paulo.

In March of 1996 he was invited to play with Stronger, a band of death metal from São Paulo, where he played in several places in Brazil, as Aeroanta, Ginásio da Portuguesa, Black Jack, etc. Some members did not take the band as a serious work, but Rodrigo always faced the drums as a carrer, and than he left the band.

In September of 1997 Rodrigo got in contact with Korzus (Sao Paulo) for a test, because the drummer, Fernando Schaefer, had left the band. Soon in his first test, Rodrigo already assumed the drums of KORZUS.

In 1998 came the first test of fire, Rodrigo, 17 years with Korzus played in the festival Philips Monsters of Rock, one of the most and important metal festivals of the world. In this festival at Monsters they recorded a Live of Rock, with five live tracks, recorded for MTV Brazil, and more four tracks in studio, one of them is a biggest hymns of the band "Catimba". In the following years, together with Korzus, Rodrigo had played in all Brazilian states, north thru south, making always the best and greater Tour of a national metal band.

In March of 2004 was released the compact disc "Ties of Blood" (Unimar/Universal Music). After the release, the compact disc received excellent criticizes, getting the highest notes in almost all the specialized magazines and sites, being considered as the Best Compact disc of the Year. In the same day that Korzus made cover for Roadie Crew Magazine. Months later, Korzus made cover for the Disconnected Magazine again. In the edition 2004 of the Festival Porão do Rock (DF), one of the most important national festivals, Korzus was one of the Headliners in the first night of the event, playing for more than 45 thousand people, being headline in the "Jornal Hoje (GLOBO TV)", "Jornal da MTV", and other sources of the country. In October 2004 Korzus played in Via Funchal (SP) with the English group Cradle of Filth and in Circo Voador(RJ) and Led Slay(SP) with the American band Exodus.
 

In October, 24th 2004, Rodrigo went to England for the European Tour with a British band Mercury Rain; they played in several countries as: England, France, Spain, etc. He return to Brazil, and with Korzus continued the "Blood Tour", playing in several Brazilian states, being Headliner in the majority of the cases, and playing along withgreat national bands, Shaman, Rumbora, and others. After being invited for a festival BMU 2005 in the DirecTv Music Hall, Korzus received the proposal to play at Chimera Festival, with Sepultura and Slipknot., for more than 25 thousand people. In December of 2005 the band played in the biggest festival of Equador as head-linner.
 

In "Quito Fest", Korzus played for more than 15 a thousand people, conquering many fans there.

Korzus already started to compose new material, and intends to be in studio in early 2008 and release their next album later this year.
 

Rodrigo’s goal is to play, teach and help in all the directions in the national and world-wide metal.
