I was born in the LAND of the INCAS, home of the turbulent government, PERU. I moved here in 1988 and started writing to keep myself sane. I am bilingue, I am an emigrante, I am a poet - who expresses what he sees happening in his community - through the power of words. I am also a proud father and loving husband. And a supporter of the local rap scene as well as CONSCIOUS Latino rap - cuz rap is POETRY to me. hey dude wassup? and the performance i was talking about might not interest you... but it's Shakespeare, for your reference.. I'm doing a monologue and a scene on saturday at the theatricum botanicum in topanga, ca.
I'm also a lead in Two Gentlemen of Verona, and that goes up for two shows the 15th, and two shows the 22nd.
BUT....one that might interest you, is the 'RANT AND RAVE' that I'm doing the 24th. It's a cathartic experience, where they give you a topic, and then you 'rant' and 'rave; about. it could be in prose, or just actual ranting. I did one on 'shelter' that was cool. the last one was about 'purpose' and the next one is about 'time'. if you're gonna be down in l.a for that date, i'd actually suggest you be a part of it. its cool.
