HERE COMES THE LIGHT is the brand new self-produced debut solo record from Andrew Rodriguez. Following his work as Bodega (Juno nominated BRING YOURSELF UP and the Dave Fridmann produced WITHOUT A PLAN), Andrew kept busy touring in Melissa Auf Der Maur's band, helping out on recordings by Sam Roberts, Boy and Jason Kent, and recording the ambitious HERE COMES THE LIGHT by himself, mainly at home.
Andrew has opened for Rufus Wainwright, The Arctic Monkeys, Hayden, Sarah Harmer, Neil Halstead and Sarah Slean among others.
"The show opened with a short but packed performance by Andrew Rodriguez (ex-Bodega) and his band playing tunes from his new album, Here Comes The Light. The sound was tight and the well-crafted songs moved seamlessly from Beach Boys-esque pop ("Astonished Heart") to soul to country with a touch of angst ("Breakfast"). Rodriguez had something up his sleeve for everyone." -Chart Magazine
