Rod Tate is a saxophonst/songwriter. As a performer he has opened for contemporary jazz group Spyra Gyra, Pieces of A Dream, Chuck Loeb, Bob Baldwin, Marion Meadows, Phil Perry, Ramsey Lewis, The Temptations, Dizzy Gillepsie and Lonnie Liston Smith. He has opened for Gospel artist Richard Smallwood and Gospel jazz keyboardist Ben Tankard, Poet Sonia Sanchez, as well as comedian Tommy Davidson. Rod has appeared on B.E.T.'s segment of Jazz Discoveries.

Yet a day IS coming when God when WILL bring our suffering to and end; He will eliminate ANY & EVERY reason for tears; He WILL care for us [AND] give us EVERLASTING JOY in His presence..........that if JOY was a blanket (and we were cold), that we could wrap ourselves up in it and be warm. And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; and the reproach of His people He will take away from off all the earth; for the Lord has spoken it. The last enemy to be subdued and abolished is death. And when this perishable puts on the imperishable and this that was capable of dying puts on freedom from death, then shall be fulfilled the Scripture that says, Death is swallowed up (utterly vanquished forever) in and unto victory" (Isa.25:8, 1Cor.15:26, 54 Amp.)
