CELTIC MUSIC AT ITS BEST!
Rógairí is a Traditional Celtic band from Regina made up of six fun-loving and talented musicians from a variety of musical backgrounds, including both classical and traditional, professional and amateur.
Drawing their inspiration from the 'modern' Celtic sound of such groups as Solas, Danu, and Altan, as well as the traditional repertoire, Rógairí has rapidly found a voice of their own with passion and energy. As a Traditional Celtic band, Rógairí decided early on that they needed to represent a fresh new sound and fill a gap in the Regina music scene, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive!
Rógairí formed a year ago just in time for St Patrick's Day 2006, and since then have been performing around Saskatchewan, as well as in Calgary. Besides performing for social clubs and at Irish pubs in Saskatoon, Regina and Moose Jaw, Rógairí has collaborated with the Irish club of Regina in 2006 and 2007 for St Patrick's Day events and for Regina’s Mosaic Multi-Cultural festival. Also they were the featured band at the Club's Fall Ceili in November 2006. The group was invited to be part of Telemiracle 31 in Saskatoon March 3 & 4, 2007, and has been invited to perform at Regina’s Cathedral Village Arts Festival in May 2007. Stay posted to find out what summer events Rógairí has planned!
