PETITION TO INDUCT HEART INTO THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME
In 1976, a rock group emerged on the scene that, without precedent, established a devoted worldwide following via a string of hit songs.
This was the first time in musical history two females, both singing and playing instruments, and writing most the material, fronted a band that rocked as hard as any hard rock group.
This was the first time in history a record company had come from a foreign country and established a major presence in the United States... based on the strength of a single band.
By the end of 1979, just three years after their industry debut, they had had many top 40 singles, and had sold more than 3 million albums worldwide.
Their songs were among the top-played on radio, sharing airtime with, to mention a few, the Rolling Stones, Bee Gees, Rod Stewart, and Eagles.
Their live performances were among the most energetic, polished, and professional in the business, always achieving extraordinary crowd response.
The group which originated the momentum that continues to achieve sustained popularity, collectively a team including Ann Wilson, Nancy Wilson, Mike Derosier, Steve Fossen, Howard Leese, and Roger Fisher, which I believe rightly deserves a presence in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, is Heart.

Fred and Lily
There once was a chicken named Fred
Who couldn’t cluck but croaked instead
His friends laughed and jeered and called him weird
So he left when the cluckers were in bed
The next morning was bright and sunny
Fred wanted something for his tummy
When he tried to cluck his voice got stuck
And ended up sounding real funny
A frog heard this strange cluck-croak sound
And wondered at what might be found
All she saw was a chick who seemed to be sick
Looking for grub on the ground
The frog croaked, “Hey did you hear
That sound that sounded so queer”
From the chick came a croak that came off like a joke
That said, “No – not around here”
From the frog the laughter now flowed
“A chicken that croaks like a toad
You can stay here with me we can croak ‘til we pee”
And Fred now his story he told
The frog heard it all with a sigh
“Those dumb chickens don’t know you’re a great guy”
Fred kissed the she frog then jumped off a log
Feeling magically froggy and spry
Fred couldn’t be any more glad
Because he is now a frog dad
And he spends all his time with his family sublimely
