After moving to Austin in Dec, Roger is now working with several great artists and bands in the Central Texas area, including Andy Macintyre and Primal Groove, The Alex Henley Band and 2 Big Bands: NAJO (Nacho Average Jazz Orchestra) & The Austin Jazz Band, 'Friends of Moss' and now the Austin version of Rhythm Village! There are recording projects as well... It's a great town!

Roger Friend’s musical career spans over 3 decades of diverse experience. Touring in more than 90 countries, with jazz, blues, pop and rock groups of all origins, he has the experience of diversity and many international musical elements as his influence.
Roger, also an educator and percussion facilitator has the motivation to inspire and encourage aspiring drummers to grow and achieve on their own paths. Performing clinics and working with many leading manufacturers in drum design is yet another outlet for his deep passion for drums and the drumming community.
Roger endorses: TAYE Drums, Meinl Percussion, Sabian Cymbals, XL Specialty Cases, Trueline Drumsticks and Aquarian Drumheads.

Hi Roger. Nice to hear from you. Mynta is still on the road, in Feb we toured in India for 3 weeks playing one gig in Chennai at the Swedish ship Götheborg that came from China. We are now making plans for a new tour in India Jan -08 and 3 weeks in Sweden/Denmark in March/April. All the best! Christian/MYNTA
