Having started playing music by age 12, back in Brazil, I've arrived to the US in the Fall of 2005 to attend the world-renowned Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, focusing on Harmony, Improvisation and Songwriting.
In the meantime I kept playing classical guitar repertoire and worked with various singers as a sideman, having performed in several venues in the greater LA area, especially Hollywood and Santa Monica. Throughout 2007 I also applied my skills in the production of a weekly radio show aired on Univision AM Radio.
In 2008 I recorded a demo solo CD called "the Sound of Hope" and have been using it to introduce myself to potential audiences. Pieces by great composers like Villa-Lobos, Tarrega, Ponce and others. You can hear some of it on the player above, as well as original works by myself.
In 2009 I started working on my brain child, my original rock music, and the album is in pre-production. Looking for the right accompanying musicians and, most of all, the voice to front it. Samples available here.
I teach guitar throughout Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. I can offer either an informal, free-style experience based on the students taste and orientation, or a solid course approaching harmony, theory and, most important, repertoire/technique for either classical guitar, popular styles, or a combination of them. Versatility is key and wether my students like classical music, mean blues, heavy metal or dirty rock, I got them covered, and well covered. KEEP POSTED.
