About me:
Hello, my name is Roger Jouret, also know as Plastic Bertrand. I am the original Belgian punk rocker. You might remember, I had a big chart hit, Europe with the song "Ca Plane Pour Moi". Although the songs lyrics are pretty much nonsense, Im very proud of it. The title translates to: "This Life for Me", if you didnt already know.
I started out playing drums in a little know Belgian group called the Bisons. It was nothing much really, just something do while I was at college fucking about, with my mates. This was all around 1976 or so. We never got around to making a professional record. Second I also played the drums for another little know group called Hubble Bubble. All in all, we weren't that successful, but it caught the eye of producer Lou Derijk, who I am freinds with to this day.
I am still interested in acting, as I was earlier in my career. I was in 'Abracadabra', a musical inspired by Abba songs, in the early 80's. My song 'Mon nez, Mon nez' (My nose, my nose) was set to the music of 'Money Money Money'. It was great fun.
Years ago, I played the World Scrabble champion, and defeated him, narrowly. Its long been a favorite pastime of mine.
I spend my free time these days managing my own art gallery, collecting art, and trying to get back into some more producing.
