Hello and welcome to my myspace page. I am a keyboard player and I have played with many bands but am now solo. My career has been long and fulfilling but only since I have been making music for myself has it been worthwhile. I am very lucky to be surrounded by supportive, intelligent and creative people something that had been lacking for a long time.
A collaborator and muse without whom nothing makes sense, a label with incredible understanding and patience and instruments that truly allow me to express myself in ways I couldn't even imagine enabled me to release a solo record, " The Truth In Me" in 2006. The challenge however to releasing a collection of songs that you are so invested in is to better that. I have spent a lot of my career in bands who's main aim seemed to be to release the same songs/album over and over again, I needed to progress or not bother, standing still wasn't an option for me....
"To stand still in music is to ignore the forward motion of time. To progress and discover is ultimately what our journey as musicians is all about. You can reflect and absorb just don't dissolve into the pool of the past".
I have come to understand more how my creative process works but it's still largely a mystery so when I finally finished my new album " Songs From The Silver Box" it was with some relief and a lot of joy I realised I had achieved my aims...
"A Box Full of Silvern Music"
An intimate and private collection of sounds, melodies and rhythms. Intricately woven one thread at a time from a palette of shimmering sounds and beats. Electronic music in its most human and emotional form.
So here it is finished my new album. I just sent it to my label Great Society and they love it and have scheduled it for a September release. So we have 6 months to work out how to get this into peoples ears but the main thing is that its in my ears and I love it. My best friend Ian Wright is designing the cover as " it wouldn't be right " if he didn't and I can't wait to see what he comes up with. I am going in to master it next month with Guy Davie another good friend who is the only person I would trust with this job.
One of the main things I wanted to do with this record was to open it up and bring in other people. In 2006 I started co writing with an amazing Australian singer named Lenka, we were working on songs primarily for her but her direction changed and I was lucky enough to end up with two songs sung by her on the record. I asked another of my favourite artists to collaborate on some beats, Bryan Michael from Alka and it was a very interesting process which really inspired me. Of course an album of mine wouldnt be complete without Erin's voice on it and we will probably have two songs with her.
I am also looking to play more live shows this year so if you have a venue and want us to play, email me
We will also continue to promote and work on Erins album which will be released this year. We played CMW in Toronto recently and it was a huge success apart from the snow!
We just released an EP called Foundlings & Strays as a preview from Erins new album "You are Found". There are 2 songs from the album a bonus track and 3 remixes, one by our good friend Jimmy Tamborello. Click the link to buy it at iTunes

A Field of Lavender is my song of the day. It reminds me a little bit on Eric Satie. It contains all the moods i have to go through today. Fits perfect :)
