Influences:
You can never say that one musician
is better than another, all have their own
unique voices or styles.
Things that influences can be peculiarities among some musicians.
It can be the technique, the sound or the approach
they have to the music.
The life, friends and the family...
My big influences right now are you
MySpaces Friends. So much good music...
Internet Archive is
another good sources.
As a guitarist you always get the question
" which is the best guitarist? "
If I had to choose 3 guitarists it would be these
in no particular order.
Why...?
I think these 3 are very skilful musicians
and only happen to use the instrument "guitar".
They are creating artist regardless tools...
Hans Reichel,
Allan Holdsworth &
Shawn Lane

Here you will find some more old and new music I have done.
Biography
I don't play music for a living but I am a Swedish musician with a wide taste in music,
both as a listener and musician. In my regular job I work as a computer technician with
broadband technical support.
My music interest began in the early teenage. The main source was the Radio and Television.
I was recording the music and listening all day long (and nights). I began to buy records and
one of my first music turning-point was Emerson Lake & Palmer. I bought the LP by mail-order and the music turned out to be completely different that I was expected, and I couldn’t send the record back. But I thought why don’t give it a chance. I played the record over and over for a month or two.
I don’t have to say that Emerson Lake Palmer - Pictures at an Exhibition- is one of my favourite today...
In the late teenage I began to play guitar. I have always loved the sound and my next music turning-point was when I saw Neil Young on the television, playing a very long guitar solo in front of a huge floor fan on stage at high speed. His long hair was flying and the song "Like a Hurricane" never seemed to end. After that I started to practise seriously on my guitar.
I don’t know how many times I had played that song after that and still never get bored...
My first live performance was with the band Projekt Mutant. We played a mixture of sweet pop music, Lill-Babs songs in punk version & instrumental songs with screwed melodies. The year was 1982.
The band disbanded same year. Until now I had only listen to pop and rock. One of the band members was into the Canterbury scene and I began to listen at Steve Hillage and Allan Holdsworth. That led me into the jazz-rock with band like Mahavishnu Orchestra, Return to Forever, Weather Report.
I played in some fusion band and we played beside our own compositions music from Pat Metheny, John Abercrombie, Terje Rypdal and Panta Rei.
In a nearby Town, there was a guy and his name was Tommy Holmgren. Tommy played drums and he also knew that I like jazz & fusion. We started a band named Iris. The year was 1986. The band played jazz standard and Swedish fusion music from band like Hawk On Flight, Time Unit, Entra and Lars Jansson who we got to know. His trio used to have jazz workshops in Ljungskile. In 1988 I had another musical experience in one of these jazz workshops Lars had. The members in the band Iris were accepted for the course and we play music almost 24 hour per day that week and I got to know a lot of musicians.
The year before Tommy & I started a band called På Mé Fritt. The band was a side project from Iris. We wanted to play more improvised music that we composed ourselves. In the beginning most of the music was based on looping and repeating things. Sometimes we only played freely and long things but almost in time and melodious.
In the beginning of 90s I went to a record fair and I got to know Åke Forsgren who had Inedi Records. I bought a record with Fred Frith. The album was the "Guitar Solos".
I was completely fascinated of the sounds Fred did with the guitar. That opened up my way to conduct to the instrument and my understanding of music.
I began to listen at Jim O’Rourke, Henry Kaiser, Eugene Chadbourne, Derek Bailey, Elliott Sharp, John Zorn and our band På Mé Fritt started to use prepared instrument and objects. We began to create soundscapes and perform more free form music style.
In 1993 På Mé Fritt recorded a bunch of songs and did a cassette called VOL 1.
in 2002 På Mé Fritt recorded a CDr for the first time.
We have a number of recorded DAT and intend to release some of it on disc.
På Mé Fritt has through the year jammed with different musician like David Bäck, Christian Jormin, Anders Jormin, Johannes Lundberg and Daniel Fredar.
Lately I have began listen to ambient, EMU, Electro acoustic, noise and all kind of cross over.
I still like and look for any kind of music that uses the guitar as a tool or source to create
sounds.
Beside all this I’m playing in a cover band named Angelita & The Frogs since 1999 just for fun. But I always in one or the other way return to the improvisation, soundscaping and creativeness.
