Should electric music be left to a younger generation? I’d say ‘yes’ but I enjoy it too much to pack it all in.
After all, didn’t we start it ? No, probably not – although we were there or thereabouts. Even if we didn’t realise.
Spare a thought for those who can’t ever now sing ‘Hope I die before I get old’ without a certain irony becoming blindingly obvious.
…..and whose memory of ‘Teenage Kicks’ go way back to before man walked on the moon. (I remember that better than than some – but not all – of the kicks)
So let’s hear it for those who stand in awe of today’s music but who have something still to contribute.
