Theoretically.......
Rogue Thief is a three piece band consisting of one lead guitar, one rhythm guitar, a cheap drum machine, and my voice. In reality, it is a one piece band consisting of these elements... Oh yeah, I'm Rocco, by the way; I'm the brains behind this outfit. The creater, performer, producer, and just about everything else of Rogue Thief.... I am a mixed media artist from Philadelphia, and a founding member of Yuan Army Promotions, a now defunct autonomous collective of artists from the same region
What is Rogue Thief?
Rogue Thief is of a mixed style which I suppose is akin to a techno-punk hybrid of sorts; Due to the fact that it's a one man act, I play out rarely, although I'm in the process of preparing for some shows this summer in promotion of my new LP: "N7: Neutral Grey" (available for purchase on cdbaby.com and www.namenooneman.com)...My style is a gritty, electronic take on the low budget analog recording style of my favorite punk artists of the late 70's....take it or leave it, this is who I am....
What sets Rogue Thief apart from others?
Good question....Rogue Thief isn't just a "Band", it is a multi media project which compiles not only an abstract musical style, but ties together paintings, digital photography, abstract video art, and a unique life view to create an experience unattainable via conventional means; all details of Rogue thief are custom fitted to all others to create a unique, multifaceted prototype of a style that will be refined and reshaped as the days, months, and years of life pass; it will never be perfect; as perfection is the end.
Professional Goals:
-To build a fanbase
-To Promote my current CD
-To draw attention to my work
-To be great.
-To grab the money and run (at least I'm honest)
About me,
I realize that I'm a little different from your run of the mill "wild musician"; I like to believe that I'm a little too responsible for that sort of thing...I don't work well with others creatively, and so I generally choose not to....I promote mainly online at the moment and have recieved airplay on around a hundred stations worldwide (both internet and terrestrial), I am hopelessly devoted to my work in all of it's forms and am prone to overloading myself with projects in addition to my promotional responsibilities regarding both my band, my website, and my other creative endeavors...the result is manifested in the form of my moodiness, which is a sort of trademark of my personality and is often evident in my lyrics.....it's a character flaw, but we've all got them.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about Rogue Thief; I am appreciative of any and all support I can get....TELL YOUR FRIENDS!!!

The Bathtub Test
During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director how do you determine whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.
"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."
"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."
"No" said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"
ARE YOU GOING TO PASS THIS ON, OR DO YOU WANT THE BED NEXT TO MINE ?
