ROHAN RECOMMENDS: PRIYA THOMAS! Click the picture below to visit the myspace profile of my friend, and fellow musician and songwriter, Priya Thomas, and enjoy her wonderful music:
Rohan's musical influences range wildly in style from ABBA to the Sex Pistols, from the deppression era dustbowl blues musicians such as Woodie Guthrie to the Sweedish Hardcore of bands like Refused and Raised fist. The Beatles, The Buzzcocks, The Smiths, The Beach Boys, The MC5 and The New York Dolls make up but a fraction of Rohan's influences.
Here's some more for your troubles: PIL, Bob Dylan, The Beach Boys, David Bowie, John Lennon, The Beatles, Leonard Cohen, The Meters, Johnny Cash, T-REX, The Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, The Kinks, Syd Barrett and everything else good...

BIOG:
Born 1986 in the Chinese year of the Fire Tiger. A charming and attractive child, he grew up around music, travelling Europe with his performing parents. When the family settled for a period on the north coast of N.S.W in Australia, the teenage Rohan struck up his first band, The Epistolary, aged 15. It was his turn to entertain and wow his peers. With his prolific songwriting and explosive creative output he quickly outgrew the teen scene and was soon playing regularly and working with the cream of the Australian underground and alternative artists like cowboy legend and puppet master Jimmy Willing, Dan Rumour (Cruel Sea), Christa Hughes (Machine Gun Felatio), The Remains' Mick Daley, and David Virgin of course. Playing hard hillbilly punk one night with The Hickups, playing cool psychadelic rock with Dan Rumour and David Virgin the next, supporting Lloyd Cole, Billy Bragg, sharing conversation and pizza while backstage with (Cat Power's) Chan Marshal, absobing the rock n roll lifestyle and buzz, while honing his craft. He helped create the legendary "No Fun" studio where he recorded and produced many of the north coast's best artists along with his own records. Now truly independant and autonomous he contains the skills, experiences and utilities to match his creative expression, his musical and lyrical storm.
To date Rohan has made five full length studio albums including his double album "The Discourses", and his 2007 "best-of" album "You Made Me Do This". As well as this, Rohan has recorded acoustic and cover versions mini albums and has countless colaborative and production credits.
Since putting his music online in 2006, Rohan has recorded well over 300,000 individual song downloads, and rapidly rising.
