Hooked on guitar at a very early age, Mal started playing and garnered inspiration and influence from the likes of Led Zepp, early AC/DC, Jeff Beck and then Van Halen! This grounding in classic rock bands of the past continued (the original Guns N' Roses, Thin Lizzy to DRN) After a soilid apprenticeship in various local bar bands and rockin' outfits, among them Sticky Fingers and Dusk til Dawn, several original projects developed including Fragile Truth, Matt Black and the Millionaires and the seminal Subway Sharx. Things got busier and many original compositions garnered favourable comments from the media and among high profile artists, and soon Mal had a busy schedule and remit to write and produce and record. The live shows continued and to date, Mal has performed extensively from Singapore to Sweden, Slough to Stokenchurch. Recently guitar work and songs featured on a hardcore rock release by a French artist. Currently recording a new CD, the project is in preproduction and new songs are in the pipeline as well as a return to classic covers with a revamped DTD.
This eclectic mix of powerful and energetic rock songs, with some originals thrown in, provides for an exciting and captivating live act, and a tour is planned for next year at various venues up and down the country.
