Held 19.1.2008, Finland's first ever Rock Against Child Pornography concert at Nosturi, Helsinki was very successful in raising awareness and drawing attention to the problematic subject. Proceeds were not collected.
Keitä me olemme:
Rokkaa lasten hyväksikäyttöä vastaan on suomalainen rekisteröitynyt yhdistys. Olemme mukana kansainvälisessä työssä. Vastaavat organisaatiot ja hankkeet löytyvät Saksasta ja Englannista. Vastaava toiminta on alkamassa myös mm. Australiassa ja Thaimaassa.
Mikä on tavoitteemme?
Olemme järjestämässä Rokkaa Lasten Hyväksikäyttöä Vastaan -konserttia Suomessa. Yhdessä bändien ja heidän musiikkinsa kanssa yritämme saada tämän arkaluontoisen aiheen julkisuuteen ja viestittää sanomaa että lapsipornografia ja lapsiväkivalta ei missään nimessä ole sallittua.P>
Kuinka haluamme saavuttaa tavoitteemme?
Avaamme toimintamme hyväntekeväisyyskonsertilla Nosturissa 19.1.2008. Konsertissa tulee olemaan toimipisteitä, joissa me ja meitä tukevat hyväntekeväisyys organisaatiot edustavat intressejään. Miksi me teemme tätä?
Löysimme tämän idean ensin Saksasta, jossa joukko opiskelijoita oli saanut tarpeekseen siitä, että lehdissä kirjoitettiin aiheesta joka päivä, eikä mitään kuitenkaan tapahtunut. Niinpä he perustivat "Rock gegen Kinderpornographie"( suom. Rokaten lapsipornoa vastaan ). Heillä oli jo ensimmäinen konserttinsa, ja he suunnittelevat toista konserttiaan saadakseen ihmiset tietoiseksi tästä asiasta. Nyt myös joukko englantilaisia on mukana, ja he suunnittelevat ensimmäistä konserttiaan, ja me toivomme, että suomalaisen ryhmän avulla voimme tavoittaa vieläkin enemmän ihmisiä ja levittää sanaa ympäri maailmaa. Tämä on vakava asia kaikkialla, emmekä voi antaa sen tapahtua kaikessa hiljaisuudessa - meidän on herätettävä ihmiset!
Hyväntekeväisyysorganisaatiot
Tällä hetkellä otamme yhteyttä moniin hyväntekeväisyysorganisaatioihin saadaksemme heidän tukensa. Suomessa on monta eri organisaatioita, jotka taistelevat lapsipornografiaa vastaan, ja siksi haluamme antaa heille kaiken tukemme minkä voimme.

We are:
A group of students who thought we should actually DO something to raise awareness about this topic.
What is our aim?
We are planning rock concerts in Finland under the "Rock against Child pornography" banner. Together with the bands and their music we want to bring this silent topic into public awareness and send the message out loud and clear that any form of child pornography or child abuse is not acceptable.
How do we do this ?
We try to find suitable venues here in Finland and organise concerts with bands who are interested in supporting this cause. At the concerts we will have our information and merchandise stand and we invite other charity groups to attend in order to promote their own work.
Why are we doing this?
The original idea came from Germany, where a group of students had enough of reading about this topic every day in newspapers and grew frustrated at not being able to do anything. So they founded "Rock gegen Kinderporno" in 2006 and so far have held three very successful concert to raise awareness. There are now Teams in The UK, Ireland,Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy, Canada and Greece, and concerts have been held all over Europe with the message that we will no longer sit quietly while our children are being abused in this terrible way.
Charity - Organisations
At the moment we are writing to various organisations to find one or more, which we can help with this project. There are many different organisations fighting against child pornography and/or helping and supporting the victims. We want to help them with every cent we can get.
