Thanks for the notice, Roky. Kathy Krumm says "Hi". I don't know if you remember her or not, it was 40 years ago. That's you guyziz memory. But I managed to do a do trade for her old Elevator records. I need gas money. I just sell vintage vinyl. I have your songs implanted in my memory. Love, Light and Health to you.
Roky, one of the best parts of working at waterloo records over the past two years is getting to meet you and talk with you on multiple occasions. Hope your well.
as I watched the documentary the one thing I noticed, no matter what state of consciences Roky was in - if he started singing the music just flowed whether he was loaded, medicated, sober or "ill" - he is truly charmed and his music is so great - I cannot explain my joy that he gets to enjoy the fruits of his labor again - mostly thanks to Sumner - none the less it seemed sad to me that he may not of been aware how many people are touched by his music, but now I'm sure he knows - sending much love and respect his way!
" Roky Erickson's vocals are strong and compelling throughout, whether he's wailing like some lysergic James Brown or murmuring quietly, and Stacy Sutherland's guitar leads -- long on melodic invention without a lot of pointless heroics -- are a real treat to hear. " - billboard.com
Well, AWRIGHT!! Greetings from one Erickson to another and thanks for including me among your fans. There should be a lot more. Long may you rock! Randy
Roky, I am still in the Ether from getting added as a friend. It's always fun to yell out the name of one of your songs to a band and get that spark back because so many hold your music in reverence (though so far no one has taken me up on the suggestion). Peace and abundance.
