Roland plays guitars, bass, keyboards and sings. Some friends have brought their skills for the recordings. Une petite BIO:
Roland ("Little Wing" pour les intimes ...), né en 1968 à Aix-en-Provence, est guitariste, compositeur, chanteur.
Il démarre le violoncelle à 9 ans. Lassé (c'est le moins qu'on puisse dire ...) par le conservatoire, il laisse tomber à 14 ans et se met à la guitare en autodidacte.
Découvrant Dire Straits, Kansas, Pink Floyd, il essaye de rejouer leurs solos repiqués d'oreille sur les 33 tours. Vient ensuite la découverte de la musique jazz-rock et fusion avec le Pat Metheny Group, Al Di Meola, Uzeb, Stanley Clarke, etc... Entre 20 et 25 ans, il étudie le jazz, notamment par un retour aux ... conservatoires d'Aix et de Marseille.
A partir de 1995, il part vivre dans les Alpes du sud où il tourne comme guitariste et chanteur dans diverses formations et dans différents styles: du solo aux groupes plus étoffés.
Composant depuis le lycée, il multiplie les enregistrements de maquettes "à la maison".
Entre 2003 et 2006, il réalise trois CD, "Eclectric", "Mouvance", puis "The Underground", une collaboration avec la chanteuse hollandaise Elsa Mulder, installée en France. Alors qu'elle écrit les textes en anglais, il compose et enregistre les musiques.
Aujourd'hui, Roland continue à se produire régulièrement en concert dans différentes formations.
Le groupe en quartet, formé autour de ses compos, est né à l'automne 2008.
A little BIOGRAPHY:
Roland , born in France in 1968, is a guitar player, composer, singer.
He started music with cello at the age of 9. Fed up with the academic music school, he gave up at 14 and begun the guitar by himself.
Discovering Dire Straits, Kansas, Pink Floyd, he tried to reproduce their guitar solos earing their records. A little later, he found out jazz-rock and fusion music with Pat Metheny Group, Al Di Meola, Uzeb, Stanley Clarke, etc... Between 20 and 25 years old, he studied jazz music and came back to ... academic music school of Aix-en-Provence and Marseille.
Since 1995, he lives in the south of French Alps where he plays as a guitarist and singer in different bands and styles: from solo guitar to bigger bands.
Composing since ice school, he's made at home many recordings and 3 CDs since 2003 in different styles.
Now, Roland plays live music in several bands.
