Just a passing by to tell you it was great to have a chat with you at the Elf Fantasy Fair. Can't wait to meet up at the next festival. If you ever happen to think of attending the small Keltfest festival in Dordrecht do let me know as I live almost litterally around the corner there. And I WILL buy the book at the next EFF.

It was a pleasure to see you in good health!

    My sincere regards,
    Martin (a.k.a Elendaeril)

If you think you know the Prof, think again. Hear him at his best in this clip from 'The Friday Feeling' series; very funny!! Beware - this clip may offend, so brace yourselves:

    It is good and honorable,
    To make new friends.

Our blades were forged in the flames that leap
From the fiery heart of hell
And quenched in frozen rivers deep
Where the icy bones of dead men sleep
Who fought our sires and fell

    Thank you for the friendship.

Hello Professor! I hope you're getting better and better. I hope I can go to Elf in Arcen and see you. In all these years you've been to de Haar Castle I had to work so I didn't get the chance to go to your lecture.. My daughter went to see you and she was very excited! Take care! Karin

I am glad to hear you are feeling better... The elffantasy fair just isn't the same without you

I have to apologize to you though. At the last MidWinterfair you give me your card so I could give it to my Athurean legends teacher (the one who said you were a sarlatan) but I seem to have lost it...
    I am so sorry!

About me:

..

Please note that for now this is a profile maintained by a 'faithful student'. Roland does have the login details since April 2008, so he may come by every now and then from hence on or take over. Thank you.

Prof. Dr. Roland Rotherham B.A.hons, M.A, Ph.D., Ed.D, M.I.H.G.S. holds degrees in Ancient and Medieval studies, Anglo-Saxon Culture, Heraldry, Anglo-Norman Culture, Ancient and Medieval Cultural Studies, and Education.

He is a member of the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies, and The Fellowship Of The Knights Of The Round Table Of King Arthur.

Referred to as 'The Doctor' even by his colleagues, and 'Roly' to his friends, he has been described as "the quintessential Englishman" and has devoted his life to the study of Arthurian and Grail Lore with frequent forays into the world of associated legends and mythology.

Following a brief but distinguished career in the cavalry, visiting many of the worlds trouble spots and, more importantly he says, learning how to mix "A bitch of a martini" his own quest for The Grail has seen him travelling extensively across the globe including visits to the Indies, Lama herding in Peru, and being captured by river pirates in Indonesia.

Always delivered with a sense of humour the Doctor's lectures are greeted internationally by students who are left with a deeper knowledge of the subjects covered and some of the Doctors infectious enthusiasm which burns richly through all his talks.

Roland has also published some books; "The Greatest Etiquette and Dining Tips in the World" and "The Greatest Cricketing Tips in the World" both available on for example Amazon.

There is a DVD on which Roland has been interviewed called "Looking For A Grail Legend". The DVD can be bought on several websites (for example at Amazon and Ciao.co.uk) and often at fairs as well where Roland gives lectures.

For more information or to ask the professor a question please visit the website. Thank you.
