Sounds Like
Imagine mixing sami joik with a bit of hip-hop and modern rythms. Then add a bit of humour into the lyrics and BOOM!!! You've got rOlfFa's music just on the spot!
NYHET!
To live-opptak fra Tromsø er lagt ut! Sjekk de ut!
rOlfFa is a one-man project gone crazy!
What started in a garage with an old computer and a midi-keyboard has become a 6-man band that has played various stages around Norway and has now released their first CD called Partyjoik.
Many describtions has been made about our own music, and because our music is a weird mix of hiphop, ska, rock and of course joik we have just ended up with calling our music Partyjoik, renamed after the first hit that rOlfFa had.
The album is available in various shops in northern Norway, but also at our website rolffa.com.
Those treasures in the air in the waters and under the sea on the land in the earth and the mountains are not theirs it is stolen from us we should not rest too long but take more of it back when we aim at the Sun we may hit at the Moon could be far better than nothing at all
I was searching for something different and found your music on myspace. I have never heard of traditional sami joik music before, but I like your spin on it. I also like that Johan guy. Have fun in Norway, maybe you should tour the Northwest of America sometime. We are crazy enough out here to actually 'get' your music!!
