I'm Chris. But most people know me initially as Rollasoc, (it's an auto generated username at one of my previous employers. It kinda stuck).
Until I get my Photography website up and running, I'm using this myspace site.
I've been into photography since my teens, shooting friends and family on really cheap cameras. I progressed about 5 years ago onto a compact digital format, where I found a liking for macro shots, the obligatory family do snaps and gig photos for Telford Rocks Battle of the bands competitions.
In early 2007, I decided to start taking my Photography a lot more seriously, finally upgrading to a Digital SLR.
At the moment, I seem to be doing quite a lot of gig photography, which is great since it nicely ties in with my other main interest of music
I also like to take studio still life images, abstract images, macro images, landscapes and animals. So pretty much anything. I try to use easy exercise as a way to learn something new.
I'm currently collating a collection of studio equipment, so I can start doing portraits to.
To see a large selection of my photography. Please Check out my Flickr site or look at my Myspace images.
Additionally I am also a Hair Thief. Click on the link to check out my band's website and music.
Oh, I also like to write. Completing the first draft of my first novel "Lies, Damn Lies and Sadistics" as part of Nanowrimo 2006. In November 2008, I wrote the first draft of the sequel, "The Stealer of Hearts". Hopefully in November 2009 I will finish the trilogy and then edit in the next decade.
Fantastic! Congratulations, Chris! "Happy Birthday!" Have a really great day celebrating your birthday with family and friends. Thank you for your continued friendship and all the photo work you have done for us. Truly appreciate your skills. See you soon. Love & Best Wishes from Everyone in Facade.
Date for Diary: 18th April 09 @ The Wulfrun Charity Gig in support of The Prince's Trust.
Hello there Chris :) THANK YOU ! and welcome to our work.
Music has always had the power to change the world, to make people think, to act and react to the things going on around them, it knows no boundaries and recognises no differences...and so we would like to say Thank You for coming on board and proving that once again it’s the musicians that will give a voice to the voiceless and try to change the world!! The children must be protected, and we must all do our part...thank you for wanting to do yours and for adding your voice to ours, we grow louder every day...soon they WILL listen!!! The Team @Rock Against Child Pornography UK
Please be so kind and have a look at our EVENTS page and become our friend there too? Thank you.
aha yeah i was using the flash cos depending on the lights (they kept changing) there wasn't enough to get a decent shot without. but yeah i know what you mean about it making the image without a flash! i've seen some amazing shots like that! :)
yeah probably but i'll be honest, i'm not sure how to do that aha! i wasn't sure of the fact you can see the lens hood, but the first photo i took like that was an accident then the band really liked it so we carried on haha! i like your work too :)
