About me: I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace) Rolliana, whose registered trademark for her profession is "HarpSinger", is a Celtic harper, classically trained singer, pianist, composer, arranger and recording artist with a music degree in voice from The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Music. She also holds a science degree in pre-med biology from St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana.
She combines her interests in music and medicine for playing harp at patient bedside in hospital and hospice. As of July 10, 2007, she became certified: ACCM = Advanced Certified Clinical Musician through Laurie Riley's Clinical Musicians Training Program.
Rolliana has two CDs, "HarpSinger", an eclectic international collection of self-accompanied singing and solo harp instrumentals, and "Dawning of the Day", consisting entirely of her luscious, sometimes soothing, sometimes sparkling, instrumental solos.
She is Founder and Music Director of Madison Harp Orchestra [MHO], an all-volunteer ensemble with 28 harp players and several other musicians, dancers and narrator who perform concerts for charity. MHO gave its last benefit concert 3/13/2008 in Madison, WI, titled "The Leprechaun King" after story of same name by Wisconsin author Arthur Cola. The concert raised over $3900 for BSP-Free Clinic.
Rolliana does jewelry crafting for fun. Her jewelry has appeared in several juried art shows.

Congratulations on your nomination Roliiana. I've just started performing forthe council of "Music in Hospitals" here in Scotland. Its mainly playing in hospices and to terminally ill patients in hospitals....much like you do. Though theres no such qualification like you've just received over here. Dear Rolliana, What a lovely name !. it's very nice to have got a friend request from you!. I love it when the profile is set to private..it makes it an interesting surprise !. And what a lovely surprise your site is.... an orchestra of harps !... and playing harp as therapy for people is such a good idea. Reccently I went to visit my father- in -law when he was in hospital with cancer and I know he'd have liked some music but the hospital was all geared up to efficiently caring for just the physical side of things and I didn't like to embarass him.... I ended up playing at his funeral. I know people would have a better chance of healing if they were relaxed and happy, and there's also such a thing as a dignified spiritual passing...
