Ed Jonnet - AKA Jumping Ed Jonnet - Saxaphone. Ed was born and raised in Pittsburgh where he attended Duquesne University as a sax major. He has played with several national acts such as Jimmy Hendrix, Isley Brothers, Three Dog Night, Diamond Rio, Corbin Hanner Band, The Night Hawks and Gregg Allman. He also toured with blues guitarist Roy Buchanan. He recently released his first solo CD titled Only Here, Only Now. Ed chose to record the CD because of the multitude of talent that exists here in North Central Ohio. Along with that talent was the excellent studio facilities at Aultwood Studios. He has played with several local bands and has enjoyed them all, but the talent and aggressive attitude of the players in The Rolling Hams as Ed more excited than ever. He looks forward to great things with the new band.
Jeff Ault - AKA The BOOGIE MAN - Owner of Aultwood Studios. Jeff is lead guitarist and lead vocal. Jeff was born in Marion, Ohio. His early musical influences include Bluegrass where Jeff could fill in almost any position including guitar, vocal, banjo, fiddle or bass. The love of music continued through high school where he played tenor sax in the Marching Band and played several instruments in the orchestra. After high school he moved to San Francisco, CA for more influence and to make some of his first recordings. During the 80's and 90's he continued to record and play in local bands (Crissinger, Monkeys' Uncle, Boogie Hill . . . .) Since the late 90's Jeff has owned and operated his own Recording Studio (Aultwoods). Jeff plays guitar and sings in several local bands, including Itchy Poodle, the Haymakers and of course The Rolling Hams.
Rolly Gaumar - AKA Spud - Bass guitar and vocals. Born in Mt. Vernon, living in Delaware. He originally started playing drums at age ten. But found more enjoyment playing four, five, and six string bass. He started Road/Kill Band. They changed the name to Barrel House Blues Band. Rolly Played with them for ten years. He has opened for such artists as B.B. King, Lonnie Brook, and Co-Co & Layer. In 2003 Barrel House was inducted into the Delaware Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Rolly has played hard rock in Ohio for two years with Joe Mathews & Steve Decker and has played at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina several times. He has lived in Caledonia for 14 years where he owns and operates a custome motorcycle shop. Rolly is definately enjoying jammin' the blues, funk, and classic rock with the Rolling Hams!
Robert Shipley - AKA Dr. Rob - Dr. Robert the keyboard doctor was born at a very young age. He started his musical journey in the San Francisco Bay area until migrating south to L.A. Playing clubs from Santa Barbara to San Diego. Finally residing in the heart of the South Orange County music community. He has endlessly toured the western states and also had professional stints with Cerwin Vega Co. System and Bill Graham Productions (the first!). Crosby Stills and Nash (Young tour). And many other national tours there after. Opting for country life, he moved to central Ohio in the 90's and formed the blues/rock band Crying Out Loud. Drawing into the Columbus music scene around 2000, he started performing and recording with The Inner City Blues Band and Shawn Booker's Blues Review, CBA winners and semi-finalists at the 2002 International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis. Dr. Rob also collaborated with Konx County band T.J. Lewis, winning the North Central Ohio Blues Challenge and competing at the 2005 IBC in Memphis. He been jammin' with the Hams since September of 2007.
Bradley Herring - Drums - Brad was born and raised in Mansfield, Ohio. He has been playing drums for 30 years. Classically trained by Percy Hall at Mansfield Senior High. Brad has played in many groups and bands such as the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Iron Works, T-Zer, The Larry Cadle Band, Get-A-Way Band, and 446. He released an album in1994 with T-Zer titled "Wars Not a Game". Brad is a progressive drummer whose influences are Neil Peart, Stewart Coplan, Buddy Rich, and Carter Beauford. Brad and Rolly provide a seriously solid rhythm section for the Rolling Hams lineup!
