The Rolls Rockers (RR) were born in late 1998 at a time when the rock scene was more than dead and buried in sunny Portugal but at its maximum force in other countries such as USA, Sweden or Norway. Mainly influenced by diverse rock..n..roll sounds, but seated in its heavier and frantic moods, the band began playing live the following year at the old Lisbon rock..n..roll centre: The Ritz Club. After their first show, where they played with bands such as Les Baton Rouge and 77, other gigs showed up across Portugal and the band had the chance to promote its heavy but yet melodic sounds, although this kind of rock was unknown to the wide majority of the crowd, far away from knowing power bands like Zeke, Gluecifer or Supersuckers. In the year of 2003, the band had the pleasure to participate in the Boom Rock Festival in Lisbon, at the Paradise Garage, where they rocked the same stage of The Toilet Boys and Gluecifer. Although the gained promotion and all the acquired experience, either the national media or the recording companies remained themselves way from the event and from the other national bands who played with them. Two years later and although some line-up changes concerning the vocals and drums, some demos such as “Pearls to Pigs” (Summer of 2005) were basically made with intention to satisfy the proper “ego” of the band and friends and so the idea to record something serious came to be postponed for the year of 2007. In this year, the Rolls Rockers had their true mini album "Burnin´Fuel" on the move, recorded by themselves and Claúdio Silva, person who already worked with Portuguese bands of other musical areas like Delfins and Sara Tavares. In the summer of 2008 the band had their fist experience abroad and flew to Hungary to headline the Dinamo Rock Fest. The Rolls Rockers are mainly a High Energy Fuel Powered Hi-fi Rock Live band and they really feel at ease and show their talent and strength playing...Live.
