RoMak & the Space Pirates may in fact be the world's first "post-good" musical group. Their songs tell stories of ironic forgetfulness in a fickle world; obsessing over concepts of show business, the double standards of glamour, historical pop-culture events and vacation advertisements...all while incorporating the flair of a science fiction novel. Their material is colorfully dark and not without a sense of humor. Think "punk-pop" instead of "pop-punk."
They suffer for their art, and the art of others suffers for them. It's fun...and chill.
Their first 2 EP releases have been distributed online and through earthbound stores across the United States and Canada. In May of 2008, they released their first full-length album, entitled "Attack of the Has-Been Androids" on wearable USB flash bracelets, to celebrate the demise of the once beloved compact disc.
RoMak & the Space Pirates has shared concert bills with a myriad of eclectic acts such acts as Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Violent Femmes, Unwritten Law, Berlin, Gene Loves Jezebel, Vyncent Flaw, Sugar Ray, Jeffree Star, The 88, Lit, The English Beat, the Psychedelic Furs, the Colour, Martyr Plot (featuring Ginger Fish of Marilyn Manson), Union 13, Go Betty Go, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Nervous Gender, and Reel Big Fish
They have performed many charity events for organizations including The American Cancer Society, Friends of the Public Library and World Can't Wait.
They have also made appearances on various television programs such as the Dr. Phil Show and 'Queer Edge' featuring Sandra Bernhardt. They have graced the pages of Blender Magazine and were once in an Ima Robot music video, even though Ima Robot didn't exactly ask them to be in it.

SUNDRY TESTIMONIALS:
"...Los Angeles electro jazz punk quartet with a squid fetish...A blast!"
-Blender Magazine
"Stand out opening band Romak & the Space Pirates musically redeemed the evening, performing catchy, original glam/electro with ernest showmanship and intelligent frivolity. Backed by keys and beats from psychedelic impresario D. Bene Tleilax, Romak's voice is better than on their recordings, a rare thing in this age of pitch correct and overdub."
-LA Record
"RoMak & the Space Pirates carry the torch for epic new wave in the tradition of bands like Wall of Voodoo and Oingo Boingo, while remaining distinctly original. Part carnival antics, part insane asylum capers, with an image vaguely reminiscent of the Color Kids from Rainbow Bright, Romak & the Space Pirates excel at writing catchy, tongue-in-cheek tunes."
-The Deli Magazine
"Like swing dancing with Gary Numan while drunk on absinthe at Kirk Cameron's birthday party, these guys have created something great out of a time machine of randomness."
-Rock City News
"RoMak & the Space Pirates has a lot to offer the world musically...and they rock live!"
-Ginger Fish, drummer; Marilyn Manson
"These are not just four "dudes" who hang out in their parents' garage and play music when the urge strikes them. They are creators raising a separate being."
-Music Matters Magazine
"The band has good reason to be confident."
-Orange Appeal Magazine
"I really enjoyed the set, which seemed to fall somewhere between punk rock and performance art."
-thepeoplesdanceparty.com
"I like RoMak's look!"
-Mark Mcgrath, singer; Sugar Ray
"RoMak & the Space Pirates makes thought provoking music that challenges the listener to take a look around at his/her reality and question what they perceive."
-thebullhorn.net
"...four guys with mohawks and skinny ties."
-OC Weekly
"...a refreshing change of pace..."
-Redefine Magazine
"I loved your CD!"
-Terri Nunn, singer; Berlin
"The Universe may not be big enough for them."
-Adelphia Cable's 'The Scene'

Indeed. Perhaps "rolled" should be an optional mood on myspace. Not Rick rolled, as it would lead us to remove the possibility of being Romak rolled, which would be prejudicial in nature.
But it couldn't be "rolled" by itself either, than there might be some confusion as to the possibility of the person being recently mugged, or in the process of being mugged.
The Dungeon Awaits 23: GUILD, TV ON THE RADIO, NIN This Week: Los Angeles based Electro-Clash Rockers GUILD roll up to the Dungeon with a bag full of gifts and 25 minutes early, leaving host D-FLOx a mere 2 minutes to put on his underwear, dress himself in assorted leather and spikes, and arrange a cheese plate to welcome GUILD to the Dungeon. GRASSHOPPER du Cirque Noir arrives patriotically on time blasting STARS AND STRIPES oi! punk, prepared to fight for freedom and liberty in the name of Blood Fire and Death. As the interview begins, details about GUILDS communist ties begin to surface and D-FLOx and GRASSHOPPER begin to question GUILDS patriotism due to their fascination with HEATH LEDGER and bands that come from socialist countries. But after showering D-FLOx and GRASSHOPPER with awsome GUILD merch, tensions ease and GUILDS true American roots are exposed after announcing a tour through the heartland in Texas, and their yearly attendance at the COACHELLA MUSIC FESTIVAL. GUILD continue to display their love for freedom and the American way by singing "AMERICA, FUCK YA" and hijacking a NIN song on the upcoming NIN DVD. Featuring never before heard music from NIN and GUILD, and 3 tracks off GUILDS NEW ALBUM and details about their music featured on the upcoming television show, THE EDGE!!!
