I'm in the process of writing the second book of the Surrender trilogy -- Trust. It's a deep book, looking into issues with trust between two people who love each other, but who have always had secrets they shared with no one. No - one. In this story, they are learning to bear their souls, and each discovers there is nothing about himself that can be withheld from the other. Trust is a sacred thing, and opening yourself can destroy your soul. Surrender Trust will show how Luc and Izzorah overcome the conflicts they share, and learn to face them together.
  • Music

I love Alternative, Trance, Metal, Rock, New Rock. I'm a music fiend. Give me music! iTunes loves me. After seeing Iron Man, I bought the entire soundtrack because it was great mood music for writing. I also buy a lot of titles because I like the percussion and drums. High pitched sounds like flutes pierce my ears and it's painful for me. I prefer deeper tones.

  • Movies

Kick-butt action movies, superhero tales, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Martial Arts, Drama, Suspense. I don't like any movie that has violence just for the sake of violence, but -- if stuff is getting blown up, I am soooo there! Waiting for 2012 - and Adam Lambert's theme is half the reason. I don't mind blood and violence, but it's painful to watch anything about racism. I can't bear the inhumanity and senselessness of it. Though I admire Dennis Haysbert's work, it hurt too much to watch Goodbye Bafana, even though I know it has a happy ending. Normally, if Haysbert is in it, I own it. It's a combination of admiring Haysbert, Mandela, and knowing how absolutely wrong apartheid is. Still, I have characters in my books who are considered "non-human" who face prejudice daily. It's hard for me to write scenes of abuse, so instead, I refer to them as having happened "off-screen" so to speak. Graphic sex, yes. Graphic violence or rape, no. Have those things happened to my characters? Yes, but readers hear of it, rather than read it. Hope that makes sense...

  • Television

Not a lot of time for TV, but I never miss "24" when it's on. Started watching FlashForward. Really hope this grabs attention big time because I liked it a lot and hate to see my faves go away to TV's neverland of cancellation hell. It's intelligent, fast paced, and a great romp. So good it's scary. I'm not a big fan of comedy, although everything I write has a bit of comedy in it.

I'm a huge fan of John Barrowman from Torchwood. I came across this video he did and wanted to share it here. This man is not only gorgeous, he's talented, smart, kind, and devoted to his partner and his personal beliefs. A real man.

  • Books

Just finished Rita Herron's book Say You Love Me. Loved it! She kept me in the right balance of mystified and sure I knew the killer right to the end. And I was wrong, btw, which rarely happens. She's that good! I met her at DragonCon in Atlanta Sep 2009. Neat lady. Now I'm starting on a new book by J.L. Langley, one of my favorite authors. This one's an eBook called His Convenient Husband. Can't wait to get into it and learn more about her two heroes! Her other books have kept me spellbound, so I know this one will as well.

  • Heroes

I'm listing the heroes from my books (in alphabetical order by first name):

Alitus Vivaldi, Izzorah "Rah" Ceeow, Jawk Brighton, Khyff Antonello, Luc Saint-Cyr, Senth Antonello, Wulf Gabriel

About me:

Surrender Love is availble from Loose Id. It's the first of a trilogy about Luc Saint-Cyr and Izzorah "Rah" Ceeow. These two are also in the upcoming Surrender Trust, and Surrender Will.

All three books from the Tales of the Chosen trilogy are out. Wulf, Alitus, and Jawk are politically-based and deal with personal freedoms. There's also plenty of hot lovin'. =^_^= The Chosen series reveals the inner workings of a secret society within the Tarthian Empire, reminiscent of the Illuminati. The Chosen support a group of immortals who are actively shaping the empire to their own ends. The Tales of the Chosen include Wulf, Alitus, and Jawk, all from Liquid Silver Books.

QUOTES
Kayelle Allen's Sci-Fi Romance "...can hold its own beside the Chanur tales of C.J. Cherryh with the added spice of searing hot sex..." (Coffee Time Romance) She is "...a master of interjecting a touch of the absurd and making one laugh out loud at just the right moment." (Romance Junkies) The world she "...creates is very complex and huge. ...one story is not enough." (Elise Rolle)

"Kayelle Allen spent years developing the universe for her books. Her debut novel was so spicy it made seasoned Romance readers blush. Appealing to every gender and sexual orientation, her command of the romantic language evokes passion in all its forms."
