Great Esquire article (one of the few I've actually read since my subscription). I'm jealous that you're classically trained enough to actually compose by note. My work in Sound Forge/Acid Pro/Abynth and FL Studio could benefit from using more conventional techniques. Your end results speak volumes though, very "un-synthetic", very creative. You've got my ear.
