RK has played a major role in the creation of nominations and winners at the Grammy's, Juno's, Genie's, Gemini's, JPF's, Unity Awards and was recognized by the AES (Audio Engineering Society) for his work in 5.1 Surround Sound. By invitation, RK has juried industry Producer/Songwriter Panels, Engineering Panels and the New York VIP Jury for the celebrated and world renowned Painter/Artist Mark Kostabi with his TV Show, "Title This."
RK hails from Hamilton, ON and is based out of New York. RK is of a rare breed, as quoted; is in the vein of such celebrated individuals as Peter Gabriel, Daniel Lanois, David Bowie, Robert Mutt Lange, Bono, Bonnie Raitt, Tears For Fears and Trevor Horn.
RK has shared the live stage as a singer/songwriter and performer with Joey Eppard, 3, The Pete Levin Trio, The Joan Osborne band, and was honored to open for the Grammy winning and Legendary Levon Helm.

I don’t normally talk about production unless I think it’s bad for some reason, because frankly good production is pretty much a standard when you’re dealing with major bands on labels like Metal Blade or Nuclear Blast. But this record is especially well-produced and worth listening to for its amazing balance, well-used tricks and cleanness.

"The results are a surprisingly cohesive group of songs that wears its influences on its sleeve with pride. The CD's title, Kingsway, is based on inspiration gained from a visit to Grammy-winning producer Daniel Lanois' (Peter Gabriel, U2, Bob Dylan, etc.) famous New Orleans studio, and so, in many ways, are the songs and production styles. Klun sings his arch lyrics in his lower range, sounding much like gruff Lanois on his Acadie CD. Sonically, it's densely packed and radio ready."

RK: ROMAN KLUN endorses "Earthworks" microphones, Rhythm Tech instruments, Whirlwind guitar pedals (The Rochester Series), and utilizes Tannoy reference monitors (for mono, stereo, & surround) w/ Apogee converters clocked by the Apogee "Big Ben". He gave of his professional time to the AES (Audio Engineering Society) as an Executive Member from 2005 to 2007, and continues to be a society member. RK comes from the school of splicing 2 inch tape, tube, and analogue technique, and, is one of the fastest and prolific engineers around the ProTools environment.
ADDITIONAL ENDEAVORS OF NOTE; include the audio wiring in design and implementation for Rick Marotta's ("Carly Simon", "Steely Dan", "Quincy Jones", "Everybody Loves Raymond") personal recording facility on Martha's Vineyard.
