despite what you may have heard I'm a "serious" drum'n bass DJ. I play predominantly sexy, feel good vibes of "liquid funk" d'n b . . . but I also enjoy listening to old school Jungle, 2Step and also a lot of deep, melodic downbeat stuff - y'know . . . Boards of Canada. Thievery Corporation. Aphex. Shadow. Kid Loco. Coldcut. Love my classic Funk and soul, dub, doo wop, nostalgia . . . um . . . pretty sick of Hip Hop but for Talib, Common, De La . . .
fucking hate Hard House; Dark Metal; American "alternative" commercial M.O.R. "Punk"/Rock/Post-Grunge; but I actually listen to Emo bands. I just totally passed through the hate threshold and actually found I couldn't possibly hate them any more than I possibly did, so um . . . yeah. My favourites are [Early] Saosin, From First to Last and even kiddie bands like Fall Out Boy - that's right, not really that fussed whether you think I'm cool or not. PS I'm not gonna glorify my use of Marijuana, but I smoke that shit. So stay off drugs kids.
Yes I like electroclash and 80's shit because it's cool and all the stuff that used to be cool, mostly UK Indie shoegazer bands I listened to in high school - not the commercial fucking american shit thats on TV. Anything that's y'know . . . hip. But I don't really wanna go into it. Theres a couple of bands such as Nickelback and Elemeno P that I think really suck.
I make: LIQUID FUNK DRUM'N BASS
"POST" TRIP HOP / DOWNBEAT
If you are a singer or in a band I am quite prepared to meet the challenge of producing remixes or tracks in a variety of styles. I consider myself quite versatile as a songwriter.
oh and check out REALITY COMPOUND They'd be fucked without me. No matter what they say.

I'm Matt.
I'm like this DJ and I make music on my computer and write words like on the internet and stuff because I refuse to get a "proper" job.
I'm also kinda like in this band reality compound, they suck. Anyway.
I like making lush beats and even if one day you find me living under a bridge banging on an empty beer bottle with a used fit, that’s what I'll be doing. I like to put on mainly Drum'n Bass gigs and I've supported Artificial Intelligence, A-Sides, Suv and Greg Packer.
But this is what im getting into now. Making TV for the web. Here's one of our webisodes shot and edited on the fly while on the Short Circuit tour last year.

I LIKE DOING REMIXES. Especially with vocals. Ask me.
I like making beats that are sexy and futuristic and sometimes excellent for dancing and I also like making deep beats that are meaningful and that you can relate to in a personal way.
Are you a vocalist? Have you got accapella tracks? Just put them on a CD and send them to me at the address below. I'm like a deadly attack murderer in the studio. I'll have it done by tomorrow.
I don't like going on tour but I do it anyway. I also have a residency on Thursdays @ Foci bar. The drinks are $4. I like to put on neat shows and support underground music. I kinda have this label that I do, I like to put together compilations of music that I like, so I like getting demos. Mostly like, electronic music, mostly.

Hello Romantech! Looky, it's a CD with your work on it! REMIX PICNIC, 2008 The Tom Bosley Experience are proud to announce the launch of their new album, Remix Picnic.
Our sound has always held a curious niche within Kiwi electronica. Tracks have ranged from the poppy-joyous through jazz improv to darkside with a self-loathing edge. On the way we’ve met and mingled with similarly minded musicians and gained a few friends on the way.
It’s here that you can hear the outcome of those friendships in the form of remix tracks by a number of the artists we’ve come to know.
Included are the destructive noise of Sick Cycle, Romantech’s trademark intelligent DnB, the electro-punk stylings of rising star SoNic Smith, kitchen-sink downbeat from Sharkweek, lush electronica from Stray Theories, the glitchy melancholia of Hummel, and the glacial dub experiments of Thalidomide Dog.
Click here for more info about the release of our first compilation CD (featuring Romantech's uplifting liqiod dnb number "Gonna Getcha"), this Sunday's show, where we preview the entire CD, play your top 5 voted NZ dance/electronic tunes, and give away and absolutely massive prizepack, full of CD's and other goodies!
How are things with you my friend? I thought I would stop by your page to say hi and to see how you are. I hope everything is good! Take care and talk to you later, have a beautiful week ahead!
Www. Romantech. Co. Nz, Your layers of absinthe and torsion form concretions of hyper-alimentation. Cities crumble, skies ignite spontaneously in your presence. I desire to see life through your hallucinations so that they massage my viscera into an eternal state of turgid flux. Polished rock candy comes ever to mind when thinking of you. So charmingly silky, your skin is like a teardrop on a popsickle. The expanse of your beauty is a void no universe could ever fill. If I could have just one wish, it would be to wake up to your songs in the morning. May you always have stables of horses to service your needs. You ever remind me of the enigma of happy thoughts I once forgot. Panoramic aromavision is the future. You are dressed with filaments and people take pains to make you fully incandescent this evening. All my thoughts are lost to your graceful gaze? What wonderful vibrations you are capable of. Your tears evoke a taste as memorable as honey. The elves that play in the toasters wash their drum sticks in honey and sing strikingly colored anthems in perfect harmonious pleasure.
