hi! my name is roman wreden.
i chose to live and make music in stuttgart since the early nineties. i've just finished the production of my new album "willow tree" (HeadShotRecordings / AL!VE), which is my second official release as a solo artist. the album is in stores since april 17th 2009 (online single "mexico" april 3rd).
after the release of my last album “trophy” (2006 soulfood, motor digital) and two years of touring, i gathered new material and sketches to form a new album, which i recorded in my “vineyard” studios and at "favoritenpark" in stuttgart. i got support from the producer and musician niko lazarakopoulos (ma chérie for painting, sorry computer). guest musicians like marie louise, friedemann trueg, christian langer, stefan charisius, timon birkhofer, tomas engel and others joined to it and enriched my music.
before "trophy" i've recorded the albums "window" (2003) - just voice and guitar and "make my day" (2004) - with string quartet, which i sold at the shows.
with my former band lost in venice and solo i've supported great artists on tour like cardigans, suzanne vega, the beautiful south, stereophonics and interpol.

After you've finished here, you may like to hear this poem sung on myspace...
Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
Thank you for accepting our friend request!! Really appreciate it. Wish you an awesome Thursday. Rock and Rollon!! =) Very best regards from Merlin’s Company!
