Welcome to the official myspace page of the late great San Francisco based rock-n-roll machine known as ROMEO'S DEAD!...From 1997 - 2004 Romeo's Dead tore up the west coast and beyond with their brand of trashy, hook filled punk-n-roll..Influnced by great bands like New York Dolls, Motley Crue, Ramones and Cheap Trick, Romeo's Dead twisted the formula and created a sound all their own. Over the years they released the "Beautiful Mess" demo, 2 vinyl singles, and the full length underground glam classic "It's All Your Fault" (produced by Davy Vain). The album was a hit with indie glam rock and punk fans from all over the world. Touring followed along with accolades from around the globe (the album made many top 10 lists in both the underground and mainstream press and was album of the year in Glitzine a Swedish based rock rag)..Unfortunatly bad management and bad record deals were also in the mix..Line up changes came, personal issues plagued the band and general bad luck were in order during early 2000. The band went on hiatus for awhile.. The orginal line-up reformed in 02' and things got back on track (for awhile).. Romeo's Dead finally recorded their long delayed 2nd full length album in 03' titled "Out of Phase" (produced by Marty Gregori). The band toured but the album would never see the light of day. (Songs from that record will be featured here for the first time!)...Romeo's Dead were an enigma for their time, brash, energetic, fun and dangerous (fights and general mayhem were not uncommon at their early shows)..They were mining the sounds of the early 70's mixed with the excesses of the 80's during a time when most bands were concentrating on Brit-pop or Rap-rock..The curtain finally fell on RD in early 04' after yet another bad record deal for the 2nd album fell apart (the rock biz aint pretty friends) but the music lives on and i hope you enjoy...Rock on, RD
