The guys in my band live in Canada. They work for PG music. They write the styles for Band In A Box. When you live in a rural area and need some jazzers that work cheap, give them a try! I pretty much learned to play guitar with this software and some guitar videos from Larry Carlton, John Scofield and Robin Ford. ..Studied bass for a semester at Dick Grove School of Music in LA.
Jammer is another program that is useful but they seem to be into southern rock and don't have much jazz or latin stuff last time I checked. But it's a more flexible program to work with if you want to tweek the performances of your band. I switched to guitar when I was nearly 40 after playing bass since high school. I played bass mostly in original rock bands with some country and lounge stuff along the way. For some of the things I write, I play all the parts. The first two tunes on the player are my and a midi guitar rig and samples that live in my K2500R's hard drive. About half of the rest is my ....band'. They are never late or drunk or stoned or breaking up with their old lady.
You have some great music up here. Keep doing it. I believe it makes the world a better place. Thank you for the friends add and the kind words. Peace, Jeep Capone
