Rona Geffen was born in Israel's outback capital, the southern Be'er Sheva, grew up in the northern city of Nahariya and about ten years ago settled in Tel-Aviv. Worked in almost every aspect of the music industry, as arranger, musical coordinator, PR manager, producer, and soundtrack composer.
Graduate of Muzik – School of Creation & Production in the musical production department. Participated in the anthology Luna-Park ( Hatav Hashmini 2007 ), an album composed of songs written by youth's at risk. For the past three years working with plastic artist Alona Rodeh as the duo BoomBoxing Crew, dedicated to the creation of powerful and refined, smoky sound-installations which premiered in art & mixed-media events worldwide.
Her debut album - Bilono is influenced by everything surrounding it – from news of a suicide bomber to that constant dripping of the neighbor’s air-conditioner. Bilono is a blend of extremes, surfing between hard electronica, sexy vocals & heart rending violins, it creates a unique and pulsating tone.
