Ronald McCroak was created to put a different spin on multi-national companies and the harmful effects they have on everyone in society. While these companies have smooth public relations firms telling us how good they are, the truth is, they're fucking up peoples lives while making grotesque profits.
Fighting these PR firms conventionally through the media is a waste of time. The media has been corrupted by multi-nationals to the point that they are now deaf and blind to the truth. Any medium that advertises is a slave to these multi-national companies, and so to use the same medium in protest, would be akin to getting in bed with the same companies we should oppose.
Music is an international language and a medium Ronald McCroak wants to use to tell the truth. We expect honesty from family, friends and acquaintances in our lives, but we're willing to suffer untruths from multi-nationals through slick marketing, constant publicity and a megalomaniac obsession with advertising.
Multi-national companies of fast foods, alcohol, tobacco and other long-term harmful products are poisoning the minds and bodies of our children. We value children so much in our lives and yet we allow them to become addicted to products that ultimately cause them the greatest harm. We abhor people in society who exploit and harm children, and yet, we allow companies to constantly advertise products that are unhealthy and which lead to life threatening conditions.
McDonalds, Coca-Cola, et al and child exploiters prey on children in similar fashion. With manipulation, coercion, untruths and outright lies.
And if child exploiters had the type of public relations budgets of McDonalds and Coke, there wouldn't be a convicted child exploiter in jail.
In fact, they'd be celebrated on TV and in the news for how much good they do in society!
