Born and raised in Maryland, years of schooling taught Ron the thrills and pleasures of making people laugh, as he was a practicing nudist. Soon he was literally hanging out with many comedians, picking up some bad habits along the way. In no time he found himself hooked on phonics. The next several years were a blur of consonants, syllables, and sentences of community service, laying the groundwork for success on stage (though now fully dressed).
He cut his teeth on stages in, around, and on top of the Baltimore area, performing for and on several potent forms of medication. His offbeat humor and the loud scratching of heads caught the attention of Jim Wiggins, the Last Hippie In America. Jim and other headliners encouraged Ron to try the comedy scene in Chicago.
After performing on every stage he stumbled upon, Ron returned to the east coast, wiser, funnier, and one step ahead of several drunken mobs. Due to his popularity and inspired work with unborn porcupines, he is currently featuring all over the country, working with Heffron Talent, Summit Comedy, Charter Talent, Riot Act Comedy, Hysterical Entertainment, and several local bookers, getting laughs at clubs, colleges, and on Comcast television (again, with his clothes on). In 2007, he also claimed top honors at SchizoBill’s Insane Comedian contest, and was a semi-finalist in the 2008 Great Canadian Laugh Off.
So look for him, or better yet, request him at a college or comedy club near you.

Movies
When I'm in Salisbury, MD my favorite place to eat is Sub Runners. They have the best food, great service and are owned and operated by some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I spend a lot of my "down time" there so come on by, enjoy a great meal, and maybe we'll hang out. One thing on the sly, though. I've seen lots of subs, but they're never running. I'll keep watching, though.

"Ron has worked with our agency for a number of years and delivers a funny and unique show. He always demonstrates professionalism on & off the stage." - Chuck Wozlick, Charter Talent
"Ron Bender, who was making his third appearance at Walter Reed, brought laughter in a way that can only be described as, "I shouldn't be laughing at this, but I can't help it". He is a crowd favorite whenever he comes to the Mologne House." - Ernie Miller, Producer of shows for soldiers at Walter Reed Hospital
"Ron Bender is the kind of guy who drives the Tow Truck of Comedy on rainy nights. He's big, durable, dependable, and just a teensy bit creepy in a funny, raw, Hollywood-Slasher-Movie kind of way." - Chris McDevitt, Comedian
"Ron is funny and is one of the most unique comics performing today." - Kris Clayton, Manager, Rascals Comedy Club, Cherry Hill, NJ
Who I'd like to meet: anyone who doesn't have a grudge against me.
