When we discover how to love

Living with open hands, heart, and mind requires that we:
~ Live consciously, mindfully, and intentionally.
~ Bring full attention, presence, consciousness, and awareness to each moment; to every thought, to every action, and to each and every interaction.
~ Come to the realization that every time we encounter another human being, they (and we) cannot walk away unchanged. They (and we) leave changed; for the better or for the worse. We are all connected.
~ Realize that the only thing we have power over and are responsible for is the present moment.
Our whole life comes to bear and comes to fruition in the NOW; in the present moment.
~ The past is unchangeable, although it has created this present moment.
~ The future is untouchable, although it is created by this present moment.
If we step back and observe our thoughts (metacognition), we'll see that they continually jump back and forth between past thoughts and future thoughts. How often are we fully present with our thoughts focused on this moment in time, right now? The smile of a stranger, the voice of a child, the smell of a rose, the view of a fleeting sunset, the wind, the rain, the trees, people, myself (what I see, feel, hear, smell, taste). . . my own breath of life

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable.
I went to a friends Wade-Ruth and we cut down a couple, well I should say three trees and man does my body feel it. My toe nails even hurt I think? Lots of wood though. Poor Wade worked him like a mule. Ruth put on a great meal and I had a great time. Maybe some time you might like to get together with us and bring a friend. We always have plenty of , music, food, a country setting and burning some wood on a cool fall evening. It was just a great day. 73 degrees today! Well getting a little long toothed and got a full day tomorrow so let you go for now. Stay in touched and see if we can't burn some wood and just have good time before it snows! Chance to meet some really nice people too.
