Acoustic Rock & Roll trio Ron Fleeger & The Stranger was brought to life by Pennsylvania regional musicians Ron Fleeger (lead vocals/guitar), Keith C. Kavanaugh (drums/percussion/backing vocals), and Ian Fink (bass/backing vocals). Conceived in the fall of 2007 they barreled into the Independent Rock&Roll scene armed not with huge drums and stacked amps but acoustic guitars, minimal drums, and a mellow bottom end. What would motivate a band to bring such a minimal setup to the stage in such an incredibly competitive industry? Desire to change, progress and separate from the pack! A band with undeniable work ethic Ron Fleeger & The Stranger make every effort to master and maintain their craft by creating and recreating the music that feels the most natural to them and their fans… Rock&Roll! Their energetic stage presence is complimented by a professional and understanding attitude for both the audience and the venue. When it’s all said and done the audience is already looking forward to the next show… with ear drums still intact.
Since 1997 the members of Ron Fleeger & The Stranger have been a constant presence in the independent music scene. Booked at festivals, private functions, theatres, coffee houses, workshops, night clubs and taverns they worked hard at establishing the ethics and chops that, today, have become the very backbone of the band. Eleven years later, experience in hand, RF&TS knows what needs to be done and how to do it. Their original catalog boasts creative hooks and upbeat tempos while their cover selection provides you with only one option… to get on your feet and dance!
With an ever growing audience of dedicated fanatics and an always increasing catalog of songs, RF&TS are fully prepared to provide the soundtrack and excitement to any event!
A sincere thanks to you for adding us! As far as we are concerned, you are the ones doing the hard part. All we have to do is enjoy and spread the word!=)

OH SNAP! It's time for another Carpe Noctem & RFTS Concert! Can't wait to share the stage with you fellas again and drool over some fine acoustic rock tunes! We've spent lots of time off stage buffing up some of our old tunes and polishing the new ones, so it's gonna be one hell of a show!
You guys are my favorite live band of all time....I'm going to try to make the hilltop fri. And yeah keith I never played beer pong before....see u guys soon...I will see what the reps can do 4 u guys...keep rocking!!
Brett here. I don't know if you've ever heard of the place, but we have this bar over in our area known as "Castaways." They hire live acts to perform there on weekends and the place is pretty popular, and so I gave them a card with all your information on it and told them to look you guys up! Hopefully they'll heed my advice and get the greatest acoustic rock trio in PA to do a set down there. Hope this helps you guys out.
Haha, no problem. It was a lot of fun, those are the best kind of shows sometimes. And you guys rocked as usual, you're awesome. We had a good time chilliing and talking. We're going to come to the show at Site B as long as i'm not working. Can't wait to see ya again.
I guess it's getting harder and harder to come up with new ways of telling you guys that you rock our socks so far off that we're thinking of coming to shows barefoot, but we all certainly had a blast again tonight! We were most definitely blown away by all of the originals, both old and new. Gigs can often hit-or-miss for us, but we're glad to say that any gig with Ron Fleeger & The Stranger is a hit in our book! Great job again, guys - take it easy, and keep us posted!
What in the name of rock can be said about the show? You three are not only the best musicians, but also the best entertainers and sincerest human beings we've ever had the honor of sharing a stage with; it's really been way too long! Last night was definitely my personal favorite of any show we've played; it's easy to overlook small crowds and less-than-noble pay stubs when you experience the (if I may be so bold as to say) epic musical fusion that clearly went on tonight, as a combined product of all three bands, backed up by an enthusiastic and loyal crowd. Hats off to the three of you - not only for exceeding our expectations with your execution of a myriad of amazing Rock, but for organizing the show and realizing that it's important not only to make money and win the admiration of masses, but to inspire and encourage those who look up to you, and for that we all thank you. We all look forward to any mutual gigs in the future; until then - keep rocking!
