For starters (not in this order): organic food, dancing, hiking, gardening, listening to and playing music, singing and chanting, painting, good conversation, reading, throwing sticks for my dog, alternative health, spirituality, environmental protection, social justice and sustainable practices. | | Music | Below are a few of my favorites, click on any one of them at random.

Rock, reggae, jazz, dance, classical, folk, international, anyone with a good voice, no to most reggaton, heavy metal and gangsta rap. | | Movies | yes, mostly independent and art type films, drama and intelligent comedy. | | Television | hardly use it - just to watch DVD movies. | | Books | yes - lots of literature, fiction, modern writers.
Allende, Kingsolver, Atwood, Erdrich, LeGuin, Tan and Min are some I can think of in this moment. Also a lot of things on new health and spiritual practice, ACIM, Power of Now, education, almost anything that has to do with expansion and growth. | | Heroes | Rosa Parks, Mother Teresa, Mahatma Ghandi, ML King, Jimmy Carter, John Lennon, Arundhati Roy, and lots more that no one has ever heard of. |

Peace and Environmental activist and artist type burned out on living with fascism and now wants to live where life takes precedence.
After the 2004 ill-ection, I put my house on the market, and sold almost everything I owned in the US and and after a time of soul and country searching, am now looking at farms here in Costa Rica where I can grow orchids, organic food, flowers, endangered hardwood trees, paint, play guitar, and just in general have a more relaxed pace of life.
The music contains some of my favorites, and the slideshow contains some of the recent orchid paintings I have been doing, acrylic on canvas.
