Ronin & Marone has been around the local and international clubscene, dj’ing and
organizing parties for more than 10 years.
Starting out as childhood friends, they worked together on their mutual passion for music
and started dj'ing in the mid 90'es playing their music collections at private and high-school parties. After a short time they worked their way in to the Copenhagen club-scene with residencies at the famous Cafe Klaptræet, and shortly after at Barfly and Park Nightclub.
Slowly they started to promote their own events with a series of underground urban gatherings called Urbanical, and in 2004 held what was later to be known as the biggest clubbing event in Denmark, RAW.
Located in and old industrial complex along the Copenhagen waterfront, RAW has been hosting more than 40 djs and Mcs, 5000 clubbers, on 7 separate dancefloors at the same time, always featuring top class international and local Dj's. RAW has made it its pride, to host 4-7 styles of music at one single event, having both techno kids, Drum N Bass ravers, Nu School, Hip Hoppers and House freaks dancing and partying under one roof at the same time. RAW has won the price for best "Club Event of the Year" the last three succeeding years in a row at the Danish DJ Awards.
Among their own founded club brands Ronin & Marone are currently throwing parties under the names, RAW, OKYO, Copenhagens Most Wanted, Cream Cph, Goodmorning Copenhagen & Ghetto Pussy.
In the last couple of years Ronin & Marone have been the local promoters for the international club-brands Ministry Of Sound, Hed Kandi and Ministry Of Sound Sessions, working closely with the Ministry Of Sound company in London.
Ronin & Marones real breakthrough on the international electronic/House scene came with Ronins entry and later his victory in the global dj competion Heineken THIRST 2005. On the way to becomming the global winner of THIRST 2005, Ronin won both the Copenhagen, Danish and European heat of the competition, finally taking the trophy in Capetown January 2006.
Since then Ronin & Marone have been working full time DJ'ing, Producing Music and organizing spectacular parties and events. They have been DJ'ing, together and individually around the world, from Zouk (Singapore) to Tao (Las Vegas) & Pacha (Ibiza) to Maria (Berlin), spinning alongside names like Roger Sanchez, Eric Morillo, Bookashade, Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada, Fedde Le Grand, Armand Van Helden, Soulwax & Mylo, to name a few.
At the moment they are working out of their studio in Copenhagen getting new tracks ready to release here in spring, and remixing and bootleggin' tracks to blend in their unique dj sets!
Visiting Copenhagen you can frequently hear Ronin & Marone at Nasa, K3, Disko Dasko, Renome & Sort where they currently hold recidensies, or at other clubs and venues around Copenhagen and the rest of Denmark.
