    BEAR (Ohkwari' in the Mohawk language)

    The bear is the keeper of sleep, dreams, and inner wisdom. He goes into the cave and comes out renewed. There are times in life when we must go within to reassess our lives. If you are in a period of transition you may want to go into hibernation. You may want to sleep more, be less social, and less focused on your goals. This is normal. If you are in this period of life, draw on the strength of bear to know that everything has its season and that a time for action will come once again. For now, rest is in order. Bear is also the healer and herbalist. His curious nature motivates him to learn a great deal about the plants and their medicines. Invoke him for his healing, his powers of introspection, and his wisdom. The spirit of the bear watches over me.

About me:

As both the single Dad of three great kids and the Vice President of a thirty-five year old community based organization, it is my goal to create a safe place for my kids to grow up in, with quality schools, clean parks, safe streets, etc. I want them to see the Bronx as I remember it when I was growing up here. I love the Bronx and don't want to live anywhere else, as Ann Devenney once said "We're not moving, we're improving". I am a proud Akwesasne Mohawk Indian of the Snipe Clan who fights for Social Justice everyday. I can't believe how much the Government has screwed this country up and I am very upset that we continue to allow them to make decisions that only benefit the rich. We need to organize the oppressed and get these people out of office. Remember they work for us and if they are not going to stand up for us, they have to go. Join me in the fight for Human Rights, register and then get out and vote, make your voice be heard. "Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber". -Plato

Who I'd like to meet:

Ah, the Bear. Noble and Curious. You love to learn, and the world is your teacher. You take all you can from those around you and also use what you know to help others. You're a generally kind creature, but you will protect those you love, and you're not a force to be messed with. ......

Mohawk Indian Prayer

Oh Great Spirit, Creator of all things;
Human Beings, trees, grass, berries.
Help us, be kind to us.
Let us be happy on earth.
Let us lead our children
To a good life and old age.
These our people; give them good minds
To love one another.
Oh Great Spirit,
Be kind to us
Give these people the favor
To see green trees,
Green grass, flowers, and berries
This next spring;
So we all meet again
Oh Great Spirit,
We ask of you.

    Darling
    As my MySpace friend, I am including you in something exciting--we have begun to show off my new legit FEATURE FILM! NATASHA KIZMET: THE MOVIE! It has been called BORAT MEETS CANDY by the Denver Post's Bill Husted, and I want your feedback, and the feedback of your MySpace friends! You would be doing me a big favor if you would post this comment so people would know to go the the "My Videos" section of my profile to watch the trailer and the other scenes I have posted. This is my market research as to how well we have done. The film is being shopped as we speak by a major film agent, and we are entering it in Film Festivals! This is exciting, and thanks SO MUCH for your help!!

    Also, I am now on FACEBOOK, and TWITTER---this is a much easier way to stay up to date with my movies progress...just go to
    www.twitter.com/kizmetnatasha
    to follow me!

    Brenda Davis R.D., vegan dietitian and author of 5 best-selling books, will be Anthony Marr's guest on Animal Voices this Friday, August 21, 3-4pm ET/12-1pm PT - CFRO 102.7FM in Vancouver, online-live at www.coopradio.org globally.

    Veganism is at the core of the Animal Rights movement, but an improperly implemented vegan diet which causes health problems will discredit not only veganism, but the animal rights movement itself. Brenda Davis will discuss:
    - What is a healthy vegan diet?
    - What are the most common dietary blunders that vegans make?
    - Is a vegan diet safe for people of all ages?
    - Do vegans need to take supplements?
    - Are there any real health advantages to a vegan diet?

    In 2003-2004, Brenda Davis and her then 15 year old son Cory travelled with Anthony Marr in his first (of 6) Compassion for Animals Road Expedition (CARE-tour), which covered 41 states in 7 months. She has impressed Anthony as being the healthiest and best conditioned person he has ever met. Cory was raised on a vegan diet since birth, and is the picture of health himself.

    Anthony Marr's Animal Voices talkshow is online live (www.coopradio.org) and on the air (CFRO 102.7FM Vancouver) every Friday 3-4pm ET/12-1pm PT. Hotline call-in # 604-684-7561. It is archived and replayed at www.myspace.com/AnthonyMarr.
