I still don't know what to say in these things. I moved to the South about 4 years ago, from Detroit, MI. to help care for my aging mother. Sadly, we've had to have her placed into a nursing home, where she will be properly cared for. My great love is riding my old Harley...and believe me, I'm in the right part of the country for that.
I played in two of the finest classic rock bands ever, while I was in Detroit. Close to 20 years with BANDit, and the last few years with VISION. When I wasn't playing with the bands, I occasionally did a solo gig, or hosted open mic sessions.
I've been married 5 times...and divorced 5 times..(could it be ME??) They are good women and I'd still like to consider them my friends.
I have 4 kids still in michigan...3 of my own, and a step son I consider one of my own....I miss them, and try and get to see them as often as I can. My 2 sons Alex, and Andrew, play in a band called "Order of Jerome". Their My Space site is among "my friends" and I highly recomend it. My daughter is 14, and a very talented artist, and a bit of a non-conformist. But if you like purple hair, and spiked collers, you'll love Erin. Her brother, (1/2 bro.), my step-son, Ryan, is attending college, and I'm very proud of them all. I'm engaged to a wonderful woman, the love of my life, named Sandra. I guess God saved the best for last.
Let's see...what else...I retired from the EMS division of the Detroit Fire Department in November of 2000, after 28 years of service.
haha yeah i'm not sure what it is. coffee shop with live music once in awhile. haven't been there yet.
really nice lady that runs it booked me in like 2 myspace messages lol. she said i could set a price at the door to make money. so maybe if this show goes good i'll do that next time, try and get a bunch of people in there.
i miss you a lot though. can't wait to jam, catch up, maybe get some tattoos, play a gig like old times at the Sunrise.
I talked to Alex a couple days ago. Miss him too. Maybe sometime in the summer i'll get over there to hang out with him for a few days. I'll set up a bunch of paying coffee shop gigs along the trip to see him so i can afford it haha.
sounds good. just let me know when so i can make a trip down, or even better... you should come up and see where i live. I could even et up a gig for us to play together somewhere. might be fun
