RONNIE ARTUR'S NEW BOHEMIAN JAZZ SCHMOZZLE! This is it! Ronnie Hayward flips his legendary rock-a -billy persona and mines the same musical era for a kind of "beat-bop" "hep-hop" alter ego a.k.a. Ronnie Artur. His Orkestrio's uncluttered conversational jazz style is the perfect backdrop for his sardonic wit and unique take on life. His vocals and bass playing are almost frighteningly intense as he ponders such questions as "Do you really think you know what I’m thinking?" "How's that front porch?" and "Does anybody really need that many pockets?" This is the kind of honest and compelling act that begs to be imitated, but I don't think anyone else could get it right or have as much fun doing it. This is it.

"DJ Monkey …soul-stirring, excitingly edgy music…just disturbing (read ‘mind-f**king’) enough to demand attention. There is a whole spice rack of auditory flavors here, served up like fractured poetry on a collection of intensely listenable Hallmark cards from Hell." Bill Margold, Cinema Seen, L.A. X..Press

Thanks for being a friend of the Jesse Bernstein tribute page!
Comments about the pieces in the blog, and Jesse's work generally are always fun and welcomed.
"The test of the integrity of a poem, or any work of art, may be, simply: does it lead, in the end, to freedom, or does it merely expand the arena of confinement? A voice from the outside, truly, is what we need to hear. Even a single word. Even something that is not a word, but suggests such a word."
Hello Ronnie! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page and for adding me to your friend list! It's certainly a great pleasure to share the wonderful art of music with musicians all around here! I hope you enjoyed my tracks, criticism is very welcome =)
