Influences
I have played with punk band The Crabs up until 79 then joined Splodgenessabounds with whom I still play for every now and then, I then joined the Angelic Upstarts for 11years to 91 then Joined The Godfathers to 2002. Nowdays I play with a Bob Dylan tribute band called To Bob and anyone who needs a good rock & roll guitarist.

Ronny Rocka has been playing professionally for over 30 years his first gig was at his school Valentine dance in 1972 Gt. Yarmouth at the age of 14. Here are some of the bands he has been Playing with over the past 30 years, Godfathers, Angelic Upstarts, Slodgenessabounds, Heavy Metal Kids, Glam Rockers, The Crabs, and backed John Altman a.k.a Nick Cotton of TVs Eastenders fame. More presently Ronny is playing with a Bob Dylan Tribute band Called To Bob. Ronny has also made his mark in the music world as a Record Producer, Sound Engineer & more recently started a new Web Design and Development business called Rocka's.Rocka's can build you anything from a html E-Mails to a fully functioning shopping web application or edit your CMS pages to creating logos, Flash banners, music or band sites.Codes edited are XHTML, XML, PHP, MySQL, ASP, JavaScript, Coldfusion and others on request.
Big Boy Shorts Reunion
Big Boy Shorts was a fun band we formed just to have fun. The band members was Ronny Rocka (Guitar), Max Splodge (Vocals) and the fabulous The Heavy Metal Kids rhythm section, Ronnie Thomas (Bass) and Keith Boyce (Drums).
The photos are of a rare Big Boy Shorts reunion that took place during a Splodge gig at The Horse and Groom Brighton, 22nd Nov 2007. Towards the end of the Splodge set, Max requested on the mic to the mainly punk crowd, for Ronnie and Keith to get up and play a old HMK song. After a few wispers they worked out that they where blind drunk and could not remember anything, so they settled on 'Squalidly Inn' a HMK song which some members remembered the first chord and Big Boy Shorts song called 'Big Boy Shorts' with a grand total of 3 chords they managered to remember and play in the right order, pleasing the crowd with a blust from the past.
